Log Valley Ranch 2024 Bull & Female Sale

Page 1

Well, another year seems to have flown by. The weather treated us a little better, last winter was much better here than the winter before. And it even decided to rain plenty this spring and give us a tremendous hay crop. Summer was drier, but we did have plenty of grass this year. With the warm fall, the bulls have really taken off and we are really proud of this year’s offering. I think there is quality all the way through the sale.

We are so grateful for your interest in our operation and even more grateful for all our wonderful customers and friends that make the sale such a success. I really hope to see you for dinner and the sale on December 19, 2024!

DELIVERY

This bull is pretty special as far as I'm concerned. He has that natural thickness you need for a true herd bull, his feet are on point, got the hair you have to have in this breed, has a nice tight sheath. He seems to know he is good and carries himself with pride. If that isn't enough, he is backed by some of our very best cows. MJ 61H is a tremendous CR417C daughter and 61H's dam, MJ 1E, is my favorite of all of our BR 32B daughters. With all that said, I think this bull is worth the drive to check out.

This guy has been a favorite around here since he was a calf. Dam MJ 22E is a real head turner and this guy is too. He is very easy doing and quiet. Should keep every female this guy throws.

hit another home run here. I think people will really like this freckle faced bull. Many visitors pick this guy out when they stop.

This is my pick of the A99E bulls in the sale this year. Just a heavy boned powerful fella. This is our last group of 99E's after we lost him well before his time, so don't miss out on a good one.

Really long made BR46D son. Quiet bull with really good hair and feet. His dam is a good cow we bought from Brost's. Should make long heavy steers and quality replacement females.

son. He is a real eye appealing bull. His dam, MJ 1E, is the grandam of the MJ 15L bull. So it's some of the cow royalty around here. With his two goggle eyes, I expect many friends sale day.

This BCH 30H son probably has the best hair in the sale. Just a real tank of a bull that has a lot of things right. Dam is an easy doing BR 46D daughter that has done well here.

Another quality 30H son. He has really bred well for us. As good as the bulls are, we are expecting the females to be just as good.

30H really puts his stamp on his sons and this bull is no different. Good hair, feet, and nuts - all the staples of an excellent breeding bull.

LVR 46D LANDMARK 4L

Bigger frame on this BR 46D son. His dam, 10F, did a tremendous job with this calf and he was the heaviest at weaning time. Some excellent cows back in this pedigree.

Might be the biggest bull in the sale. His dam is an excellent cow we bought out of Corbiell's dispersal a few years back. Should be some powerful steers from this guy.

Powerful 96L with really smooth lines and a good look to him. His dam, MJ 50G, is a front pasture quality cow I wish I had a whole herd of.

This is a bull out of a cow we bought with Craig and Carrie Braun. He was born there and since she was a little later, we brought her here. He is a real goodlooking bull, should have plenty of eyes sale day.

37L's dam raised our leadoff bull a year ago, and this bull just seems to get better every day. Good hair and feet.

This bull is Sawyer's. Dam is a good cow we bought from XTC a few years back. Another in a long line of good 30H sons.

A little more chrome on this bull, but don't let that stop you from looking at this guy. He is just darn good. Dam is an excellent cow I bought from Cal Ramsay.

This BR 96J son should work on heifers. Smaller-framed bull, shouldn't grow too big to use on heifers.

79Y STANMORE 32B LVR 32B FANCY 23F

87R WEST LASS 43B

This 46D son was really strong as a calf. More of the early maturing type for guys that sell off the cow. His dam, MJ 23F, is a top notch 32B daughter.

Short-marked, lengthy 46D son our of a powerful mama cow.

9279 EXTRA DEEP ET 106Z

Another bull that would work on heifers or cows. MJ 1H came in dam from Brost's and has been a good cow for us.

Early maturing calf out of a good ol' Carl Ramsay cow we bought years ago. She's still going strong.

We missed picturing this bull. He is a short-marked good-boned son of BR 46D and should leave excellent replacements.

Purebred HEIFER CALVES

Real feminine and fancy heifer. Might be the best one we have let go. Dam is an old Ramsay cow that's always performed here.

96J heifer with really good hair and feminine features. Should make one heck of a cow.

Ranch HORSES

DUNIT PLAYGUN STYLE

We call him Mr. Dun, he's a nice horse to have around. He's been used to doing everything on the ranch, including packing kids around. Been used at calving time, roping calves to tag, sorting pairs, and drug calves at brandings. Doctored cattle in the pasture, mostly one-man doctoring, so he's good to tie off. I've used him to jingle the other horses in and work colts in the round pen. He's good to catch, just walk right up to him. Stands good to trim his feet and to saddle. Loads and hauls with no issues. He's a solid horse that walks out good and won't quit half-way through the day. He's been ridden in the hills, through the bush and willows, across the river and creeks without any issue. He's been used in ranch rodeos as well. We'll have a video on our YouTube page (Doyle Watson Horse & Tack) as well as pictures and videos on our Facebook page (Doyle Watson Horse & Tack). Call or text with any questions or come try him out before the sale.

He's called Chrome, he's a big strong gelding with lots of heart. He's been ridden in the hills, through the bush, and across the river and mud with no trouble at all. I've used him checking and treating in the pasture, as well as sorting pairs to wean. By his previous owner, he was calved on, used in the feedlot, and started team roping. He wouldn't take much to go back to it. He'll watch a cow and appreciates having a job. He's got a big motor, so he does best with consistent riding. He's good with his feet, good to bridle, and stands good to saddle. He loads and hauls fine too. He's for sale on consignment, so I'll be riding and showing him at the sale. You can find a video of him on our YouTube page (Doyle Watson Horse & Tack) as well as on our Facebook page (Doyle Watson Horse & Tack). Call or text me for more information or come see him at the ranch beforehand. Best suited for an experienced horseman.

We would like to thank the crew at Log Valley Ranch for inviting us to offer bulls in their sale. We were fortunate enough to finally catch good rains this year and what a difference that made on the cattle.

We are excited to offer these bulls and are looking forward to seeing everyone on sale day.
