Raising Bulls at Pahl Livestock Bulls here are raised strictly with natural growth and longevity in mind. Lots of bulls are fed in large pens but ours are fed in an approximately 50 acre pen with the feed and the water as far apart as they can be, forcing the bulls to walk miles a day. They are fed a textured grain ration designed for skeletal growth and development, as well as a custom mineral to help with fertility, and free choice dry hay. The whole sale group is fed in two pens letting the better bulls rise to the top. Bulls are then sorted and the bottom is culled after each weigh date and again in September before the sale for temperament. There are no bulls sold from this pen before the sale. These bulls are raised to be sound and guaranteed breeders.
