REIMAGINE YOUR COTTAGE

TO FIT YOUR GROWING FAMILY'S NEEDS

When you first purchase a cottage, it may seem more than big enough; however, with children, friends, pets and grandchildren come dreams of having more space and storage. Below are some tips from Cassis Design Studio to make the most out of your 1,600 square feet of space and create a comfortable and functional home for your growing family.

Replace existing double window with sliding doors out to the deck.

Replace the existing entry door with a window and extend kitchen storage under the window.

Stack the washer and dryer to allow for additional counter, hanging and storage space.

Larger kitchen island seats up to 8 and added sink for additional food prepping.

Replace dining table with a larger extension table allowing for additional seating. Include armchairs that can have a dual purpose as head dining and substantial enough to add to living for additional seating.

Relocate the fireplace to centre on the TV wall; add built in bench and storage shelves on either side.

Replace the existing queen bed with a king bed.

Replace existing queen bed with 2 sets of queen over queen custom built-in bunk beds. (Now sleeps up to 4 adults or 8 children).
