The Liberal Studies programs (Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees) offer students an individualized academic experience structured around a core of multi- and interdisciplinary courses. Combining methods and insights of the social sciences, humanities, and natural sciences, with the practical, career-oriented focus of professional education, the Liberal Studies programs allow students to craft a personalized, flexible course of study appropriate to their own academic goals and expectations.

Internships offer Liberal Studies students a valuable means of gaining professional, career-oriented experience while pursuing their academic goals. Internships are available at a wide range of institutions, including local and national corporations, government agencies, as well as in the non-profit sector. For students completing the Bachelor of Science option, six credits of internship experience are required prior to graduation. For those completing a Bachelor of Arts degree, internships are available but not required.
