With family going back four generations in Belleville, Smithton area, I know the Metro East from St. Clair to Madison and Monroe counties like the back of my hand and help clients in every one of those areas. I went to high school here and graduated from SIUE before meeting my wife and moving away.

My favorite part of real estate is educating first-time home buyers, catching up with repeat clients and assisting those downsizing. I explain topics in an easily digestible manner so that my clients can make informed decisions.

My experience in insurance sparked my interest in real estate as I was intrigued by the valuation process when building insurance quotes for people. I am still fascinated with valuations and have completed a certification class to become a licensed Real Estate Appraiser. Although, I will continue to work as a Realtor because I love working with people. I never meet a stranger and look forward to making new relationships through real estate.

I cherish the relationship that I have with my wife above all else. For the last 20+ years, her career has taken us on a journey across the US. This experience helps me understand the nuances and stressors of moving into a new house and relocating to a new community. With her retirement, we have recently moved back and plan to stay here. One of the things I love, in addition to the true Midwestern mentality, is the small community gatherings, picnics, and community involvement that I haven’t seen anywhere else.

Starting a real estate career in 1981 with interest rates at 18% was to say the least, a challenge! There have been a lot more challenges, but more rewards since then and I have never regretted making the commitment to becoming a REALTOR! Over the years I’ve helped hundreds of buyers and sellers make their real estate dreams come true! Technology has made the process easier, but it is the personal interactions that are most rewarding.

In addition to listing and selling, I was the original managing broker of the Highland office from 1986 to 1995. I also served as president of the Greater Gateway Association of Realtors, president of the IL CRS chapter and was Realtor of the Year for each. More recently I was inducted in to the Greater Gateway Hall of Fame in 2021 and earned my Luxury Home Specialist designation. Continuing to learn and grow in this business is a priority to me.

I’m a lifelong resident of Highland and feel the metro east region offers many great places to call home! My husband, Steve Lindsey and I have 4 grown children, my two sons, his two daughters and together we have 8 grandchildren. We enjoy activities with them, Cardinal baseball, Jimmy Buffett music and beach vacations.
