ACC Carnivals for Years 7, 8 and 9 All year 7 students have chosen to play football, soccer, hockey, rugby union or ultimate frisbee and have been placed in teams for the upcoming Associated Catholic Colleges Lightning Carnivals. The day involves playing against students from other Catholic schools from around Western Australia and the focus of the day is on participation and good sportsmanship and not the score. DATE YEAR 7

What do you know about Edmund Rice? He founded the school and paid for everything and he made lots of schools around the world. He was really wealthy and he helped educate the poor. What did you help to organise for today? Pork and ‘slaw burgers.

What do you know about Edmund Rice? He was an Irish man who started the Christian Brothers to help people in need and provide a good education for kids around the world. What did you help to organise for today? In M8 we are selling bacon and egg burgers and after I’ve been in the Murray Mile I will help out.

What do you know about Edmund Rice? I know that he founded the Christian Brothers and the Christian Brothers founded CBC. So he started everything and that’s why we’re here.

What do you know about Edmund Rice? He’s the founder of our school and many other schools around the world. What did you help to organise for today? My Mentor is doing fish and chips.

What did you help to organise for today? My Mentor is going to be doing plate smashing. You throw a ball at a plate and it falls and smashes.

CBC Fremantle invites all mums to join us for a

Mother’s Day Morning Tea on Thursday 11 May at 8am in the College Gymnasium. The celebration will commence with a Liturgy promptly at 8am followed by morning tea. All guests are asked to be seated by 7.50am to avoid interrupting this special service. The morning will conclude at approximately 9.30am. Boys will attend the liturgy with their mothers. Support Perth’s refugee children achieve and grow through AFL The Edmund Rice Centre WA is launching an appeal to help refugee children integrate into their adopted country through Australia’s game, AFL. In 2016, we hosted an AFL Showcase evening to highlight the success of our established AFL programmes over the last seven years in helping these youngsters reach their full potential. With demand increasing and resources dwindling in 2017, we need your help! Please support the campaign – you can find out more here.
