Uganda Investment Forum

Invitation from HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni President of Uganda Uganda is one of Africa’s most dynamic and innovative economies, possessed of newly discovered energy deposits and deep reserves of natural resources and an educated and skilled workforce. I would like to invite all international investors looking to take part in the African Boom to join us in Kampala on April 11‐12 2013 for the Uganda Investment Forum. The Forum, organised in partnership with the Commonwealth Business Council, will focus on Uganda as one of Africa’s leading business and investment destinations, while taking the theme ‘Driving Growth in Africa’. Uganda is ideally situated to be your gateway to the 150 million consumers in East African Community and the 1 billion across the African Continent. Uganda was the host of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) and the Commonwealth Business Forum (CBF) 2007. CBF 2007 was the largest Commonwealth Business event ever held in Africa and resulted in over $1 Billion worth of Infrastructure proposals. By partnering with the Commonwealth Business Council we intend to build on this success and further increase investment into Uganda. Uganda’s business opportunities are attracting high levels of international interest and the reform of our country’s economy to make it more private sector friendly is already paying dividends. Now is the optimal time to visit Uganda and to meet with the Ministers and officials and hear the success stories of other international private sector leaders that are already operating here. This Forum will bring together the decision makers you need to meet to do business in Uganda as well as focusing on key issues essential to the continued growth and development of our country and continent. I hope you will join us for this important Forum and I look forward to meeting you in Kampala . HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni
