Message from H.E. Rupiah Bwezani Banda President of the Republic of Zambia I am delighted to announce that the Government of Zambia will be hosting the Zambia Investment Forum in partnership with the Commonwealth Business Council, in Livingstone on 31 March and 1 April 2011. My Government has worked hard to build on the firm foundations of stability and prosperity laid down by previous administrations. A programme of agriculture, infrastructure, health and education investment and development has been underpinned by strong diplomatic relations overseas to strengthen Zambia’s position on the world stage, for the wider benefit of all Zambians. Zambia recognizes the important role of the Commonwealth in the development of member countries since its formation and the opportunities given to promote trade and investment opportunities. To facilitate investment, Zambia has designed a package of incentives aimed specifically at establishing a suitable environment for increased domestic industrial growth, export promotion, the development of market oriented production management and private sector development. Please let me take this opportunity to invite the business community, worldwide, to come to the Forum in Zambia and invest in sectors such as mining, agriculture, tourism, energy and infrastructure and other sectors of their choice. I hope that you will be able to attend this important event and look forward to welcoming you to Livingstone.
