the old is gone. Aren’t we blessed that we have been relieved from the unpleasant things that happened yesterday? Halleluyah!! This is the year that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it, for He made it for us. Forgetting what lies behind us, we press on to what lies ahead. With the goal of finishing our

12 | race and getting the prize for which God, through Christ, is calling us. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14 This is a new lap of our race that we have never experienced before. If you are reading this, it means your race is not finished yet. There is a place reserved for you in God’s Kingdom plans this year. Don’t let the past, the old, the bad, the pain, the hurts, and the disappointments of 2019 stop you from pressing on towards the finish line. The new things God has in store for you needs a new wine skin. Therefore, put off the old wine skin and put on the new wine skin in order to receive the new wine (anointing, mercies, abilities). Look forward with hope, and make Kingdom pursuits your priority like never before (Matthew 9:17). Hebrews 12:1-2 (NIV): Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Each year is a new race taking you toward your final destinationheaven! Run with every resource you have. There is no race as important as this one. The reward for finishing is eternity. Do not grow weary, press on. Jesus our Lord overcame all odds and ran with perseverance. It might not be easy; but run. You might fall in the race; get up and run. You might get hurt by people you love, respect and trusted; forgive and run. There will be mountains, climb them. There will be valleys; go through them. Finishing against all odds, like Jesus, is your goal. Let Him be your model in 2020. Do not let any unnecessary weight stop you. Do not let unnecessary financial weights, professional weights, academic weights, family weights, weights from health problems, stop you. Just keep moving with the task at hand. Strengthen your weak arms and trembling knees and take a new, firm grip of your God-assigned task (Hebrews 12:12-13). Work at it as if you only had this year to finish it. Remember that in this journey, the Lord is your Shepherd, you shall not want in anything (Ps23:1) and you have divine power available to you for all you will be needing in 2020 for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). We look forward to another year of great partnership this 2020! Shalom and have a victorious 2020.
