How Do You Wear Your Blush? Blended In or Piled On?

Page 1

While I’m not familiar with singer Morgan Kibby’s music, I do think that this whole retro-alterna beauty look she has going on is quite interesting, so I spent about 15 minutes sifting through several photos of her. And then I fixated on this one. I think it’s kinda crystal clear why:

Aside from the razor-sharp cupid’s bow (that was probably perfected with a pointed lip brush), I couldn’t stop staring at that blush! I honestly can’t decide if I love it or hate it, for a few reasons: 1) It’s an unnatural color for her complexion. Now that’s not a bad thing, but if it’s just going to sit there, I’d probably have chosen something a little less BAM! 2) There’s a lot of it. And it’s concentrated in one area on her cheekbones—smack dab in the middle. 3) It’s not blended in. It looks like she swirled her brush in the blush, dabbed it on her cheeks, then spent the next 20 minutes on her lips. It’s almost like baby doll makeup… I don’t know—I’m torn on this one. What are your thoughts?
