Solitude though it may be silent as light is like light the mightiest of agencies for solitude is essential to man All men come into this world alone and leave it alone

Loneliness is the poverty of self; solitude is richness of self.

I am too alone in the world, and yet not alone enough to make every moment holy.

I was a man who thrived on solitude; without it I was like another man without food or water. Each day without solitude weakened me. The darkness of the room was like sunlight to me.

Closed in a room, my imagination becomes the universe, and the rest of the world is missing out.

Sometimes you need to sit lonely on the floor in a quiet room in order to hear your own voice and not let it drown in the noise of others.

My music is very personal. I’ve created it in solitude. I face a white wall and beller. I like that sound - the expression of loneliness. That’s what it’s all about.

We leave TVs on in our house. I listen to my record player constantly to just hear music. I’m really intrigued by this idea of solitude.

Whosoever is delighted in solitude, is either a wild beast or a god.

Your mind just slows down, and you see a tremendous expanse in the moment. You see so much more than you could see before.

Silence is the language of Om. We need silence to be able to reach our Self. Both internal and external silence is very important to feel the presence of that supreme Love.

Within each of us is a light, awake, encoded in the fibers of our existence. Divine ecstasy is the totality of this marvelous creation experienced in the hearts of humanity

We need society, and we need solitude also, as we need summer and winter, day and night, exercise and rest.

Solitude is not something you must hope for in the future. Rather, it is a deepening of the present, and unless you look for it in the present you will never find it.

Solitude sharpens awareness of small pleasures otherwise lost.

A poet is a nightingale, who sits in darkness and sings to cheer its own solitude with sweet sounds.

The mind can go in a thousand directions, but on this beautiful path, I walk in peace. With each step, the wind blows. With each step, a flower blooms.
