April 2024 | Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design and Visual Experience

“The Career Center at CBU was an incredible resource for me! They helped me fine-tune my resume and LinkedIn profile during one-on-one sessions, and I also sharpened my interview skills through mock interviews. The career fairs they organized were fantastic for networking and improving my communication skills.”

December 2023 | Bachelor of Science in Nursing

“The Career Center helped me greatly! It was really helpful to receive feedback on what my resume should look like and how I can make it look more relevant to the nursing unit I applied to. The mock-interview was also a great learning tool because I was able to identify weaker spots in my interview strategies and was given feedback that I applied directly when interviewing for jobs post-graduation.” Registered Nurse / Loma Linda University

Accountants help keep businesses functioning properly. They prepare and examine financial records but most of all they advise their clients on how to be more profitable. They help people and businesses thrive. CBU accounting majors receive a foundation in economics, finance, business law and ethics and—of course—accounting, all with a decidedly Christian worldview. Not only does the accounting coursework provide students with the skills for a successful career, it also provides the knowledge necessary to successfully complete the CPA and CMA exams. The stability of an accounting career can be an asset in today’s not-so-reliable job market. • Accountant • Auditor • Personal Financial Planner

Aviation Flight, BS

For many, flying is just a dream, but CBU can help make it a career. Students who have no prior flight experience can graduate from the aviation flight program with the skills to be a pilot. All flight training is conducted in-house by CBU using our own flight instructors and fleet of university-owned aircraft. In addition to the flight training and ground courses, students develop an in-depth knowledge of meteorology, navigational aids, aircraft systems and crew resource management. In essence, they learn everything they need to function as a pilot.

Behavioral Science, BA

CBU’s behavioral science major draws from anthropology, psychology and sociology to give a broad perspective on human behavior. Students will develop the skills necessary to be proficient in the study, research, assessment and evaluation of human behavior from the perspective of all three fields. The major prepares graduates for employment in social service careers and for graduate study in psychology, sociology, social work and anthropology.

Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, BS

While biologists often focus on large structures within organisms and chemists focus on molecules and reactions, biochemists and molecular biologists focus on the chemical reactions and structures that make organisms “tick” at the molecular level. A major in biochemistry and molecular biology is rigorous and comprehensive because it combines the academic preparation of both the biology and chemistry major. This major is excellent preparation for medical school or for work as a research scientist in hospitals or industrial labs. Some graduates also work for biotechnology firms, developing the pharmaceuticals and healthcare products of tomorrow.

Biology, BS

Biology majors will study both the smallest parts of life—cells, molecules, genes—and the largest—the human body, the environment, the animal world. All CBU biology courses are taught by full-time faculty members who interact with students in the classroom and in the lab. Students will participate in research, complete an internship or have the opportunity to assist faculty members with research projects. Concentrations in the biology major include environmental science (concentration), secondary biology education and general biology.
