Faculty Spotlight

I became a Certified Athletic Trainer in 1991 and began my career working in various settings including physical therapy clinics, high schools, community college and universities. My education includes a master’s and doctoral degree in public health from Loma Linda University.

I was blessed to have been able to develop the Master of Science in Athletic Training program in 2007 and have graduated over 200 athletic trainers. What I love about teaching is being able to mentor students, personally and professionally. I want them to be good people, great athletic trainers and bring them to a knowledge of God’s love for them. The CBU athletic training program becomes like a family and as students become alumni they continue to give back and stay connected to the program, thereby benefiting current and future students. As one of the leading master’s degree programs in athletic training education, we are serious about the education of our students, but we also come right alongside them on the way.
