Faculty Spotlight
Gene Moon, DMA Associate Dean of Performance and Outreach Director of Orchestral Studies
Upon joining the CBU family in the fall of 2018, I immediately fell in love with the community and fellowship on campus. The vibrant conversations, adjoined with intentional acts of kindness and compassion, make Lancer Nation a unique and memorable place. I’ve studied music since the age of seven. I have experienced music’s emotional and charismatic power and understand its ability to heal, inspire, and change lives. Regardless of one’s vocation, I find it important that music remains an integral part of a person’s path in life. While the majority of junior and high school students experience music and art, the tragedy is that most will inevitably discontinue their studies in music and art when entering college. My life’s mission is to ensure that every student that steps foot onto the Lancer campus has the opportunity and means to continue cultivating their art while pursuing their career.
