Wealth experts from around the world provided insights on what to expect in 2022. The demand for luxury real estate continues to rise, as the number of buyers capable of purchasing luxury properties increased significantly. Those with a net worth of $5 million or more grew almost 20% between 2020 and 2021, with their combined wealth growing 20.4% to over $75 trillion. Considering previous year growth was only 2.1%, this reflects a tremendous change in population wealth that will greatly impact luxury real estate. International buyers, largely sidelined during the pandemic due to health concerns and travel restrictions, are also reentering the market. But despite the increased demand and continued low inventory, there are still options for luxury real estate buyers. New developments, from exquisite condominiums and townhomes to exceptional planned communities, are on the rise nationwide.
