Listening to and Supporting Our Communities

In recent weeks, deep emotions have been felt and demonstrated in communities across our state and nation in response to heartbreaking events related to racial injustice. The countless

marches, powerful speakers and haunting images have been a reminder that there is still so much to do. We stand with our communities for equality of opportunity — from housing to employment to entrepreneurship. We can, should, must and will do more.

Coldwell Banker has led by example for more than a century. Today, I feel true leadership will come from truly listening – especially to African American members of our communities. And action must then flow and accelerate. We are committed to working

to move more quickly, boldly and effectively to a future in which Coldwell Banker is as synonymous with equal opportunity and fair housing as it is with integrity and service.

Our programs such as Agents of Change and Diversity in

Ownership are just the start of our work. We are also focused on offering opportunity for residents, agents and brokers in our African American communities, which are perhaps the most underrepresented segment in homeownership, real estate licensure and brokerage ownership.

We will support one another in these efforts and understand that our words and actions have powerful impacts. We will not assume we know the concerns of those around us, and will err on the side of openness, empathy, safety and respect for all.

In trying times, we learn the most about ourselves and those around us, and what we are learning from you – members of our communities – deepens our resolve.

We see you. We are listening. And together we will act.
