ALAN VEST

JAMIE KIRK

Alan, studied Foundation Diploma in art & design at CCAD Middlesbrough before progressing to the Illustration for Commercial Application degree at CCAD Hartlepool. He has already achieved great success after

Jamie, from Redcar, studied Foundation Diploma in art & design at CCAD in 2010 before going on to the University of Huddersfield and gaining a first class degree in Graphic Design. He has set up as a freelance designer, working on projects such as illustrating and animating video, and has gone on to achieve further success by winning the prestigious D&AD (Design and Art Direction) New Blood Pencil Award 2015. The New Blood programme inspires the next generation of creative talent, stimulating the creative industry to work towards a fairer more sustainable future. Jamie credits his time at CCAD with helping him on his creative path to success.

being commissioned by The Guardian to produce illustrations for the newspaper’s new weekly column, ‘My Writing Day’ to create the illustrations for work which includes famous writers such as Ian Rankin, Hillary Mantel and William Boyd. Alan was also chosen by Creative Review as one of ten UK Graduates whose work was shown on digital billboards throughout major rail

stations and shopping centres in the UK.


CLAIRE BARROW Claire is a renowned fashion designer and known for her luxury hand-painted leather – she even created a leather jacket for Rihanna! Claire studied Level 3 BTEC in Fashion at CCAD and since then has enjoyed a fantastic fashion career – she made her debut at London Fashion Week in 2013 and has been named in Vogue USA as one of the UK based designers to watch!

JAMES SILVESTER James is currently the Head of Architecture at SSH Architects in Oman, leading some of the most prestigious projects in the Middle East. He left CCAD and went on to achieve a double first in architecture winning the RIBA White rose award. He now has over ten years at the cutting edge of the profession working with international companies in UK, China and Middle East.

BEN BENOLIEL Ben, from Saltburn, is now an industry renowned fashion and interiors photographer, having worked with some of the top names in the business, including iD magazine, Wallpaper magazine, Bang and Olufsen. He has recently been appointed as an official photographer for leading British fashion designer, Nigel Cabourn and is one of the founding partners for London designer retail outlet, LN-CC. He has also set up Copula Collective, an artisanal jewellery brand alongside his brother Charles. Having decided to be a fashion photographer from the age of 16 when he undertook his first photography course, Ben gained his Foundation Diploma at CCAD in 2004 and is thankful for the college in setting him up for his future career in photography.


YOUR ART IS VALID We offer students the opportunity to study in ways which are complementary to their learning style. If you prefer to be assessed through coursework, we have a range of BTEC diplomas. If you prefer a study route which involves examinations, we offer the A-Level route for students. We also allow you to keep your options open as you can study a mixture of art and non-art subjects.You can study with us in the following ways: Study Route
