MELLS’S MUTTS BREE KEYES WRITER/PHOTOGRAPHER
It was a great day for an event on September 21, 2019. The weather in Auberry was warm, but with a slight breeze. It was bustling with families as they walked around looking at all the booths that were set up. I arrived late due to my son’s soccer game in Kingsburg so when I got there most of my stuff had been set up.
I finished the rest and had excited customers start looking around and buying stuff. It was a great first time event with around 10 or more vendors including Mell’s Mutts. Kids were able to get their face painted, eat snow cones and dance their hearts out to Royal Core! Seriously Smoking BBQ served hamburgers and hot dogs. There
was a silent auction, which all the money went to the dog shelter. It was a great time and for a great cause. I can’t wait to see what
is in store for next year. Thanks to Pancho Villas Riders MC and Dana for putting on this event.
Bike Night at The Fleet Reserve BREE KEYES WRITER/PHOTOGRAPHER So if you don’t know already Bike Night has moved!!! It went from Wednesday Nights at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Hanford to The Fleet Reserve in Lemoore on Thursday Nights. We only have a few left for the season. October 3rd and the Grand Finale is on the 17th, the last days for Bike Night at the Reserve. They have a bar, food and awesome music by Royal Core!!!! I am so glad that they now have it here. It is laid back and the atmosphere is electrifying. September 19, 2019 was the
second time we had it here at the Fleet Reserve in Lemoore. More bikes showed up and the band had everyone in a great mood as people walked around talking to each other. They had the bar inside serving drinks and food was being served outside. KFUN was there collecting donations for the Fleet Reserve and live on air. It was a great night and can’t wait to see what the next couple of bikes nights hold in store for us. I know for sure next year it will be the spot to be! So come out to the last remaining Bike Nights and show your appreciation to our military.
They will have an awesome Poker Run on the 19th of October that starts at the Fleet Reserve at 0900 with a Pancake Breakfast and kickstands are up at 1100. It will then end at the Reserve as well. At the end of the run there will be a BBQ. The price for the Poker Run will be $30 per rider and $10 per passenger. The price will include their pancake breakfast and the BBQ. The winner of the Poker run will win a cash prize. This run is to benefit active duty military and veterans. This will be such an amazing event that you don’t want to miss!!! Thank you Chet for the great info and to the
Fleet Reserve for letting us use your place for our venue. Also to Rick and Wendy from KFUN that put this whole thing together for the community.
