Party Fundraiser

On April 14, 2023, we couldn’t wait for this day to go to Riverdale to support another wonderful great band for Six Strings for Freedom, also called Small Town Load Tour at the Riverdale Rodeo Grounds, CA. We could hardly wait to hear July Moon 3 wonderful young ladies; with great voices we had seen before. And couldn’t wait to see them again and the new singer Sandie Bass all Live. All net proceeds went to Leukemia Lymphoma Society.

It was a nice day to have a band and to enjoy the weather. We were running a little behind coming from Fresno and trying to remember get everything. Then when we were on the freeway Richard noticed he had forgotten, and I had forgotten his hoodie, for the nighttime. When we got there it was already some and it was still early. As we walked around, they had a raffle going on so we had to play without knowing if we would win or not. The chairs looked comfortable, they had kid stuff too, but we really didn’t want to that that, it’s all for the fundraiser so it was a good cause even if you didn’t win. They also had tacos, nachos with asada and the fixings, also asada with French fries and the fixings you could purchase, and then they had chips and candies, drinks and beer as well.

When July Moon came on, they rocked. They have such wonderful voices and are very powerful. These 3 young ladies they were great. These girls make it work and make the people start moving and rock the house. They got to play before Sadi Bass, performed and they were excited, also to be back to be playing for all the people here in Riverdale, and people that traveled to came out to support them, and for Sandie Bass.

While July Moon was playing Richard, was getting cold and it was getting chilly, so we decided to go get two shirts from Sadi Bass, to keep Richard warm then one for me. Then he decided to get another one shirt from Sadi Bass, to sign. Like he does with all the other ones he has a big collection. With upcoming singer’s t-shirts. Hanging on his wall so everyone can see. It got so chilly he was wearing both t-shirts to stay warm.

When Sadie Bass came on I never thought she would have the voice she had, when she talked it was so sweet and soft. But when she started singing it was powerful, and strong, a voice everyone was surprised by. She is really a sweet young lady and had a great attitude. It was really awesome when Sadie Bass, brought some young girls up that were dancing and singing with her up on stage the young kids really loved that something that will be a great memory to last a lifetime and beyond.

For a little while we went to the van to get warm, we could hear the music clear it was nice. When we got warm, we went back out to the concert. It was so adorable to see this little girl dancing to every song and not missing a beat. Had no care in the world but listening to Sadie Bass. As the night went on Sadie Bass, played a song she wrote as she sang the song it hit home for me a lot. It was called “Catch and Release.” It was about a father and daughter fishing, and no matter if you catch anything or not its ok. And when the father is about to leave this earth to go to heaven, he tells his daughter no matter what love we have you always got to release them one day. don’t give up the good fight and the good things we did because he would still be there with her to catch and release even if she can’t see him. It’s not in record or you tube, but you can go watch live video on CC Biker and Motorsports newspapers Facebook page and hear it. With me losing my dad to cancer and we would go fishing from dawn to sundown, it just turned 2 years since my Daddy Passed. It had me crying as I heard that song.

But with all Sadie Bass her songs were awesome, and everyone was having a great time. It was pretty funny when a man came up with a cowboy hat and she tried to kick it everyone just laughed. Then another kid asked for an autograph. Everyone thought he was in his 20s but actually his mom yelled out he is only 14 everyone couldn’t believe it. So, she made a stopped playing to sign his hat.

After the concert we got to take pictures and have shirts signed. She was so thrilled Richard, had two of her shirts on, one she just signed and the other she put the date on it as well. She was a total sweetheart so if you ever have a chance come out and support Six Strings for Freedom at the Concert they put on. Thank you to all that came out and thank you to the bands! July Moon and Sadie Bass, that came out to play for a great cause. Also Thanks to Six Strings for Freedom for putting these kind of shows together to support 1st Responders and other great causes.
