5 Diamonds MC Tulare 12th Annual Visalia Rescue Mission Benefit Run

On June 3, 2023, 5 Diamonds MC Tulare put on their 12th Annual Visalia Rescue Mission benefit Run. I left Lemoore about 9 am to head on over to give some support. The weather was pretty good, not that hot yet. When I arrived, there was about 30-40 Motorcycle there already. They had support shirts for sale to help continue their cause. They had a refreshment booth set up next to them with Hot Coffee, Waters, Burrito’s and Danish’s for folks to enjoy available.

Registration for the Run started at 9:30 am, with kickstands up at 11 am. It was cool to watch all the different Motorcycle Clubs and Independent Rider come rolling in to show their Support. Everyone was walking around socializing with one another and having some fun. By 11 am there were about 100-150 Riders in attendance, and they were ready to get the run started. The weather was starting to get a bit warm, but they were all ready to go. They were Riding through a few towns and making 3 stops along to the way. Eventually working their way to the 5

Diamonds MC Tulare Chapter Clubhouse to enjoy more Fellowship, Music, Good Food and of Course a Raffle to raise even more for next year’s Benefit Run. I was not feeling too good once it started getting warmer. My COPD was not liking the warmth and I was starting to cough a lot. So,

I decided I better head home and I had to miss all the fun but was with them in my Heart.

CC Biker and Motorsports Newspaper has attended this Benefit Run for about 6 years so far and plan to attend many more.

They do this benefit Run to help raise funds for the Visalia

Rescue Misson so that they can continue to help out those in need in Tulare County. They have done such a great job at raising funds. This year they were able to raise $21,137 for the Rescue Mission.

Great Job Ya’ll and look forward to attending June 2024’s 13th Annual Benefit Run.

Six Strings for Freedom Country Concert

On June 17, 2023, Richard and I headed over to Hanford, to pick up my cousin Antonia, for her first concert for Six Strings for Freedom. It had been a busy day with a fundraiser taking place that morning, and now we were heading out to have some fun. It had gotten warmer, but it didn’t matter there was still a breeze, and we knew by the time the sun was going down it would get cooler. It was around 6pm when we arrived at the Riverdale Rodeo grounds, where Six Strings for Freedom, has been holding the concerts for the last few months. I especially love it there you have a lot more room to walk around and more sitting places if you like to sit down. Or just walk around and enjoy the space to listen in the grass area.

When we got there Richard showed our tickets to get in. The first thing we saw was some awesome wooden art made by a guy that uses old wood from fences, or wood

that no one would use, to be thrown away, it was all craps of wood. He would make it new again, into painted board American Flags. Every one of his arts you can tell was put with his true love into making these wooden American flags, you can tell in how nice they were put together with all different sizes of old wood to make for wooden flags, are freedom, he also had some that had tributing for war heroes. His cousin was there, and a friend was there to help him to sell and show off his work. I just had to take a picture due to the cause of the fundraiser Six Strings for Freedom were putting on this day. It was for The Wingman Foundation. I had to take a picture in front with the artist and with Richard and behind was a big American flag the man had done.

As Richard, Antonia, and I, went to talk to The WingMan

Ride and Cruise for Brandon Moreno

On June 17, 2023, we headed out from Lemoore to Burris Park at 8:00am. The day started off with the sun out and some clouds, nice breezes. This ride wasn’t going to be a fun ride when it’s for a fundraiser for someone who lost their life, and riding in their memory to raise money to help lay them to rest. Especially when they are so young and have got a full life ahead of them. It’s a Ride for Love.

So our ride being pretty much quiet, sadness and grief with thoughts in are heads, with also some anger it could have been prevented if cars would just pay a little more attention and concentrate to watch out for bikers, its easier for a bike to fall then a car to wreck. And in this case Brandon” Bubbs” Moreno, passed away due to a car hitting him and his girlfriend on Highway 43 head on. His girlfriend lost her leg and will never be the same due to a car not paying attention and trying to pass. He would be here today; we wouldn’t be going to have to do a Last Ride and Cruise for Brandon. I wouldn’t be crying, and a mother wouldn’t have to lay her baby to rest. And Brandon and his girlfriend would be riding, but that’s not the case. We are with a grieving mother, family, and friends that needs our help and that is what we are going to do as one.

When we got to Burris Park the family was already there and setting up. We went to give our condolences and hugs. Some bikers had already showed up, we let the mom Rebecca know we had extra water, and sodas in the car she sent the young teens to help carry all the stuff and was happy and grateful for all we had done. The family had pictures out of Brandon so family, friends and people could see the kind of person Brandon was. I already knew he was a caring, sweet, loving, fun, and funny, and that he loved his family and loved to ride. Everyone could see that in his pictures.

Soon more bikers came riding in formation its always beautiful to see them come in that way and for a great cause makes it even better it makes your heart warm and you are know you’re not alone they got your back to help you at your worst and they all came out to ride for Brandon. They paid the fee for the fundraiser to ride and got tickets for 2 plates of food. Then they went to show love to Brandon’s Mama and give her their condolences. Independent riders, Pancho Villa Riders MC, CMA Hanford Chapter, La Raza MC, and Buffalo Solders MC came out to ride and even cars and trucks came to join the Ride and Cruise for Brandon fundraiser. Richard and I took pictures as everyone caught up and said hi and showed off their bikes. Before everyone knew it was 10am and a prayer for safe travel was given, we got our directions to where we were going, and it was Kick Stands Up and we were ready to leave. Richard and I headed out ahead of the people on the ride to get pictures of them Riding out. Once we were leaving Burris park, we took a different route to get ahead of the Bikers, Cars and Trucks so that when they got to Riverland Park we would have traffic stopped so the bikers could stick together and not have to stop at the stop sign or worry about any traffic and get pictures of them riding in. As everyone got close to the road where we had stopped traffic , I saw Brandon’s mom riding behind someone on a bike and tears fell as she took the ride for her son to honor his memory, to ride for her son a mother’s love is so powerful. Even after everything she rode for her son. With no fear but with pride and love, and a broken heart of losing her son. What a way to enter Riverland RV Resort, we hung out for about 15 minutes there and took in such a beautiful spot with the lake and the trees. Even though it was getting warmer. Everyone was having

a good time even though it was the hardest of times and they all were giving love to Rebecca, Brandon’s mom. We took a group photo and then we headed out.

We took the lead going ahead of them before they were ready so we could stop and get great shots and stop the traffic so that the Line of Bikers, Cars and Trucks would not have to stop or be interrupted and keep the pack together. As we waited on the side of the road to hear them coming, the roaring engines, some had music, the ground vibrated as they got closer, we saw a car stop to look at some horses, and baby colts. We were just taking in the scenery, but then you could hear the bikes coming. But the people didn’t mind waiting in their cars as we asked them to wait as they saw the line formation of bikers, cars and trucks following in formation. At the back of the formation was a red car and in the back window said R.I.P. Brandon.

It was cool, the family and friends started what we were doing and begin holding traffic on one side as a biker held the other side until we pulled up to block the traffic in their place so that they could go ahead and catch up with the group. As we got back to Burris Park the food was ready.

Everyone was ready to eat and got in line. They had pulled pork sandwiches, salad, with your choice of chicken pasta or ravioli beef. After everyone was done eating Rebecca, got up and thanked everyone for coming out and gave an emotion heartwarming thank you.

I want to say thank you to everyone that helped Rebecca. On this day we all came together and did a Last Ride for Brandon, we made the ground shake, you could hear the sound of the bikes for miles the roaring of the engines, the music and love that made people come out of there houses to video us all coming down their street, horse’s running from the road to their corral because the rumble was so loud which was a beautiful site to see the horses running like that. The heavens and angels could hear that they have another biker brother with them up at the holy gates. R.I.P. Brandon, I know you are riding free up in heaven with all our brothers and sisters we have lost. I know you were with us on our ride and know you are looking down on your mama, you may be gone, and greatly missed, but you will never be forgotten you have gained family all around.

In Memory of Brandon Moreno

Beloved Brandon

To know you was to love you. From your dimples to your jet-black hair or that million dollar smile. Let’s not forget the gentle giant you were. Your willingness to drop what you were doing to help a loved one or friend. This proved how big your heart was. Let’s face it, you were everyone’s #1 mechanic, even at such a young age of 24. Your passion for mechanics was sparked by your dad. From the moment you could pick up a wrench you were at your Dad’s side working on cars and motorcycles. This was great for your Mom because she would end up needing a little mechanic.

You grew to be a simple man. You loved fishing, shooting your guns and tattoos. You had a colorful sparkplug on your hand. You liked to jam to rock, classic rock and oldies. Your soul was beyond your age. Your high school years were highlighted by your band adventures with your Mom cheering you on at every event.

Your Love for Amaya was admirable. You guys complimented each other perfectly. There’s no doubt she was your forever. Bubbs your big bear hug will forever be missed. Hope your casting us a line from Heaven.

The Rider-Writer Callie Warriors of Faith Choinumni

Warriors of Faith alongside with Time in Destiny church came out on a warm spring day in April, to support local community member Beli’ and his family during his wait for a new liver.

During a time of hospital stays, loss of work days (income), and hospital bills, this family was supported warmly and financially for a break of relief.

During this poker run, biker clubs, churches, and independent riders like myself went through Sanger, Kingsburg, Orange Cove, Choinumni and back to Sanger, all united for a worthy cause.

We were blessed to witness a miracle as well as we got news that Beli was being rushed to surgery for a waited call of a liver ready, during our prayer for the run. Riding

is always a pleasure, a freedom in the wind one cannot capture in words but doing a ride for someone else is even sweeter as we raised money for a family in need, a family in our community, a person who needed help and God smiled as we were united to help our community instead of just a simple ride.

The Warriors have done this poker run for different families now for 3 years and we look forward to next years, as we know it will be a blessing.

Foundation, they had some stuff for free and some things for sell. This foundation was to help children who have lost their parents in the military, from war, to just accidents in a military flying plane and so much more. Every year they do a marathon with the children or anyone else who would like to join and every so many miles they would stop and pay their respects to the fallen soldiers, a parent the children that lost their parent are their walking for there mother or father and sometimes for both of them. As I talked to Lisa Ballester that was one of the main people for the fundraiser for The WingMan

Foundation for this event. Richard got me a shirt that said The WingMan Foundation and it was for a great cause. I love this shirt, plus I can spread the word as well.

We got our chairs and put them by the stage to get good seats. Then I saw Ben Gallager, County singer he was a cool guy I asked if I could get a small interview. He was more than excited too. So, I asked him a few questions and for me I like to let them tell me about them self’s then hound them with questions. Ben started telling me from the time he was little and he could talk he knew he wanted to become a county singer. He said that he knew that was what he was born to do. So,

when he was old enough to pick up a guitar he started playing and singing and writing. He has played with Hank Williams JR. and some others. He was such a down to earth person. I asked him for a picture he said yes, and we took pictures, and he went on to talk to others and take pictures with others as well.

Then Richard saw Joe Peters, another county singer from Bakersfield. Joe is a great singer I have heard him sing before. Joe recognized Richard and came with a smile and Shaked his hand and giving me a hug, I introduced him to my cousin Antonia, and she was excited. Just to be able to get to be there and see what I do and see the country singers up close and personal. We got a picture with him. Can’t wait till Joe Peters remodel at his newly purchased bar and Grill is done in Bakersfield so we can go you there and see it and eat and do a great interview, taking some great pictures of joe Peters new remodeled building.

Joe Peters, got on stage and rocked the rodeo grounds, people were up dancing and singing. He was playing for more than an hour n a half. He didn’t even miss a beat when the lights started attracting the bugs and every once’s in a while had to stop to get them out of his mouth to start singing. It didn’t bother him a bit. Then it was Ben Gallager, to come on stage and had the people on their feet. Ben Gallager played county rock. He played some of his songs and some of other people’s songs, he sounded good. He played. But we had to leave early, so we didn’t get to stay for the whole concert. If you would like to hear him you can go on YouTube to hear some of his songs, they are really good. If you ever get the chance to go and attend one of the concerts that Six String for Freedom puts on and give them support the prices for the concerts are good prices and it’s not like any other concert you have been to before. Plus, you are doing it for a great cause.

CMA ministry helps support mission projects, biker evangelism, Jesus film project and transportation missions where they go to different parts of the world to help that community with specific transportation needs.

CMA has been around for about 5 years and often I’ve seen wonderful individuals in my church who were also a part of CMA and helped me in my own learning of my first year riding my Harley.

Gary Roberts being one of them who always showed a kind heart and helping teaching hand. Gary was still humble and grateful in his attitude when he talked about his adversity with his health years ago and selling his bike only to be blessed later and able to buy a different bike. Also praising God when recent adversity hit them for a bike run to Monterrey and friend Marsha

broke down but they were able to work through it and ended up having a wonderful time he explained.

Several other biker groups showed their support as you could see vests from Modesto to Fresno.

Dinuba Bike Blessing

Dinuba’s annual blessing of the bikes came out in style this year as clubs, churches, vendors, rappers, musicians and bikers rolled in on this warm pre summer day.

I got the pleasure to interview Armando Gaitan who wore a vest “support your loco Chicano biker” and explained he’s not a part of any club but rides solo and believes in being a sober Christian for his family. He has been riding since a young age as he now has a Road King customized and made for his adventures. Also Armando has a detailing business for cars and bikes and be reached at 559-9167111, come get yo shine on through his “Miracle Shine.”

Efraen Gomez also was proudly next to his “Half Breed,” a friend I’ve often seen at events. His unique bike is a Yamaha but looks like a Harley and has been customized and repainted over 3 years. He worked with his son Anthony on this bike and his sons’ bike, as they rebuilt together their dreams through their motorcycles. Efraen bragged about his 19 year old son who is a drummer and a fireman.

Family is definitely visible in Efraen as proudly rides. Broken Chains also were visible and Christine Boucher Bohlander and Cherale Holt greeted me with hugs and overdue catch up talk. These ladies are newly indicted to their motorcycle ministry and working on getting their own bikes as they tasted that freedom ride and were hooked, but aren’t we all?
