Opening in 2014 it was the first co-working space in the region.

Nexus combines stunning architectural design, the fastest internet connection on the Coast and a thriving small business ecosystem.

From the beginning Nexus reimagined what was possible for a flexible, affordable workspace.

Henry Kendall Group Managing Director, Damien Wilde said, “We live in a world that is rapidly changing in so many ways. There has been a lot of discussion in recent years about decentralisation and changes to the way that people work. Workplace design is evolving, and people are increasingly looking for greater flexibility and the ability to work remotely.”

“Evolving technology enabled by fast broadband internet is critical to business. The COVID 19 pandemic has only accelerated these trends,” he said.

Nexus Smart Hub is a business that has certainly met the moment.

Nexus continues to innovate and expand.

Works are currently underway to create an additional 500 square metres over two levels. The new space will incorporate a mix of workstations, meeting rooms and serviced offices. The expansion will also incorporate a café that will be co-located within Nexus.

As part of the expansion Nexus will also upgrade the internet connection from the 1 gigabyte that is currently available to 10 gigabytes.

“The internet speed at Nexus has always been something that is completely unique to Nexus so it is really exciting for us to now be able to deliver a 10 gigabyte uncontended connection to the whole building. An ultra-fast low latency dedicated fibre connection like this can really support the digital transformation of business” Mr Wilde said.

The new space will be available in February 2021 and Mr Wilde has confirmed that close to 70% of the space has already been pre-leased.
