ello again, everyone. What a great fall season we have had this year! Fifty-nine students entered into the D.C. program (thanks everyone for your referrals), the weather has been great and how about them Royals bringing home the crown! Homecoming 2015 was a huge success! More than 800 doctors, students, chiropractic assistants, vendors and other guests attended. I want to thank everyone for attending and helping make it a memorable weekend. Some highlights included a very special event at the end of Friday’s program when, thanks to so many of you who helped us raise nearly $50,000, the College Health Center waiting room was officially named the Dr. Dwight Gerred ’60 Reception Area. About 60 guests joined us for this tribute and I know Dr. Gerred would be proud! I want to thank Peg VP of Campus & McKee, institutional advancement officer, for Alumni Relations taking this event from desire to reality! Other special events from the weekend included the reunion doctor celebration on Saturday evening, recognizing graduates from 1955, ’65, ’75, ’85, ’95 and ’05. The Alumni Association welcomed new board members and presented the 2015 “Alumnus of the Year” award to 1995 CCCLA graduate Dr. Claire O’Neill. The KCA recognized their new officers and presented their “Doctor of the Year” and “New Doctor of the Year “awards. All in all in was a great evening. Homecoming wrapped up Sunday with a very entertaining session provided by Dr. Brian Porteous, a 1981 CCCLA graduate. Once again I want to thank everyone for making this a great week-end with a special thanks to Sarah Hilliard, Director of Alumni Services, for her extraordinary efforts in planning and coordinating Homecoming 2015. I know she is already working on Homecoming 2016! Upcoming events include our “Last Chance” seminar scheduled for December 12-13, which will include an alumni luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. hosted by Cleveland on Saturday. Don’t forget to save the date for our 3rd Annual “Las Vegas Getaway” scheduled for Feb. 26-28, 2016, at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada. Well, that’s all for now. Please remember to stay in touch and keep us updated with what is going on in your lives and practices. Until next time, be safe and be well! q
