ABOUT AUTO TECH
The Automotive Technology diploma or Associate of Occupational Science (AOS) degree program will prepare you to excel in the automotive industry. Graduates are prepared to obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in all eight performance areas: Brakes, Suspension and Steering, Engine Repair, Electrical Systems, Engine Performance, Automatic Transmission and Transaxle, Heating and Air Conditioning and Manual Drive Train and Axles.
PROGRAM DETAILS
The diploma program takes 51 weeks to complete. The degree program is 81 weeks. Automotive classes meet from 7:00am to 12:00pm M-F (day) or from 12:30pm to 5:30pm M-F (afternoon). A high school diploma or GED and admissions essay is required for application.
JOB OUTLOOK
According to the US Department of Labor, employment of automotive mechanics is expected to grow 17% by 2020. Job opportunities for qualified job seekers should be very good.
