Who Can Trust God Catch What You Need Beach ball or soft foam ball What You Do Say, “[Child’s name] can trust God” and throw the ball to your child. Encourage your child to catch the ball then throw it back and say, “I can trust God.” (Alternately, you can roll the ball rather than throw it.) Say, “I have a game for us to play today. I’ll say your name, then I’ll say, ‘Can trust God.’ Then I will throw you the ball. You’ll catch it then throw it back to me and say, ‘I can trust God.’ Ready?” “[Child’s name] can trust God. (Toss the ball to that child.) Good catch! Throw it back to me and say ‘I can trust God.’ (Pause.) Awesome! Let’s keep going. (Repeat as many times as desired.) “No matter where we are, how we feel, or what we’re doing, God will always love us. We can always trust God because nothing can ever separate us from his love. Who can trust God? I can trust God.”
Bible Story Nothing Can Separate Us from God’s Love (Romans 8:38–39)
Remember This “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.” Proverbs 3:5, NIV
Say This Who can trust God? I can trust God.
Prayer Dear God, thank you that nothing will ever separate us from your love. Help us to remember how much you love us so we will always trust you. We love you, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.
