What You Need Shoebox (or small cardboard box), paper, washable markers, and envelopes What You Do Create a pretend mailbox with your child. Cover it with paper, color it, and make up a pretend address. Have fun writing on paper and putting it in envelopes. You can even add stickers or hand stamps and pretend to “mail” your letters. Say, “Let’s write some letters! You can draw a simple picture on the page. Then fold it and place it in the envelope. When you’re finished, you can take your letter to the mailbox!” Repeat the activity as time allows. When you are finished with the activity, say, “That was fun! I wonder where our letters will go? They could go anywhere! In our Bible story today, we heard about someone who loves us, no matter where we live! Who loves us? Jesus! That’s right! Jesus loves everyone. Who does Jesus love? Jesus loves everyone!”
