• Herod the Great was a shrewd and ruthless ruler whose reign extended from 37–4 B.C.
Your child craves adult approval. When correcting, be sure to spend time not just disciplining, but building up in love.
• Herod was extremely jealous of his position and even killed off members of his own family in order to retain his control. • God used a dream to guide Joseph to flee to Egypt in order to protect Jesus.
