Nottingham District Welcome to our Annual District Convention. This year we have continued with combining the children and youth convention. It is a wonderful privilege for myself and Sis Thomas to warmly welcome all guests and delegate, on behalf of the Nottingham District Leadership of our church. We also extend a special welcome to our guest speakers, Bishop Jackson (NEC Board Member) and Bishop Lewinson Former District Overseer of NTCG Willesden. The theme of our convention this year is Season of Hope (Part Two). We are expecting great deliverance and spiritual blessings this year. As the district of Nottingham let us continue to work together - team work lets the dream work. My role as District Overseer has enabled me to extend my pastoral and supervisory care plus spiritual guidance to the Nottingham District. The year began with the theme of Renewal and restoration with 21 days of fasting ending with Distinct Prayer and fasting day - this will continue in each local church. We have also held District Child Protection and CRB Training Day at NTCG Nottingham. We have also seen the first successful Women’s Empowerment Conference. The District of Nottingham also recognises the importance of our responsibility of promoting spiritual growth and development within the church and community. The youth have engaged and were blessed by Revive Youth Concert. The Nottingham District Mobile Ministry led by Rev K Bailey completed five outreach events in Nottingham and Leicester parks and various street meetings in Nottingham and the West Midlands. The mobile ministry also participated in the Nottingham carnival and joined forces with others to give out 400 Bibles. Bishop Paul Thomas District Overseer for Nottingham “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose”. (Romans 8 v 28 )
Nottingham Church A season of renewal and restoration marked the beginning of the year with a time of 21 days of fasting and prayer towards equipping the church for victorious living. We held induction and review sessions for all church ministries including Hope Alive, which is a blessed and caring benevolent ministry with a passion for reaching out to those in need. One of our youth days looked at the danger of social networking. There was the successful launch of a local Newsletter called Reaching Out, distributed within the local community. Another outreach programme has been the setting up a weekly coffee morning, which has succeeded in bringing a social element of engagement between the church and its neighbours. We were blessed to hold an IT Graduation Service. In March we held a leadership seminar which looked at the local vision of the church. The NTCG Nottingham offers a number of discipleship programmes including First Steps and Freedom in Christ. Over the last few months we have baptised 14 new converts and added 10 new members to the church in Nottingham. Bishop Thomas and NTCG Sanctuary choir accepted an invitation to minister at The 48th Jamaican Independence Day Service attended by the Deputy High Commissioner. We are a vibrant church and believe in the relevance of scripture in today’s society. I am praying and seeking God regarding the opportunity to set up the Carlton Road Community Project which promotes community cohesion and social action projects in response to the needs of St Ann’s Community.
Hyson Green Church Miracle New Testament Church of God mission in Hyson Green Nottingham consists of a committed group of believers who firmly believe that “Tough Times Don’t Last But Tough People Do.” Our motto is “Don’t give up, Miracles happen when you least expect them.” Through preaching, teaching and interactive learning we help ordinary people step up to extra-ordinary circumstances. Over the past year we engaged the wider community in discussions about love and music, parenthood and health. We received support from the National Health Service to run a stroke prevention awareness campaign to reduce people’s risk of having a stroke and improve their quality of life after a stroke. During the months of July-August 2011 we will run a series of suicide alertness and youth evangelistic outreach training seminars. Our vision is to birth committed believers who will rise up in the face of opposition and meet the challenges of life head on. Through Welcome - we appreciate new comers; Through Outreach we include others; Through Worship we connect with God; Through Fellowship we show that we care; Through Discipleship we develop principles for life; Through Service we identify and develop our abilities and talents; Through Warfare we expand our territory.

Long Eaton Church For I am not ashamed of the gospel Christ, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16 To all Readers, Christian greetings the Pastoral Team and the congregation. With the call and anointing of GOD on my life at the tender age of 13 my desire is still to continue to serve the Lord faithfully and willingly. It’s amazing how the year has flown by and it is as though one is always chasing one’s tail- reminder of God’s word: “I will shorten the days for the elect sake.” However, God’s plan for one’s life and work is in operation - the pace is just quickened. In last year’s report you were informed that L.E. Church Roof was repaired but the internal renovation of the church was in progress which meant the congregation had to worship elsewhere- St. Laurence’s Church. Thanks to many, for their prayers and practical support. At this point, it is paramount to acknowledge and thank first, Father Simon and St. Laurence congregation for housing us and Rev. Judith and Christ Church Methodist Congt·egation for storing our chairs. Secondly many thanks to the local brethren’s families, friends of the church, special thanks, to Dwight Bruce who rallied a number of his friends from the community, Brother Livingstone and Brother. Sam Caruthers all who engaged themselves in getting a variety of the internal jobs done (e.g. painting, varnishing, cleaning, cooking, the list is endless,) thus enabling the congregation to return to its own place of worship at the beginning of December 2010. Those who have moved house knows that it takes time to get things in order and the principle is the same for The Long Eaton’s Church but with God’s help we will get there. The Church in Long Eaton is sending her roots deeper and deeper in the word of God through Praying, Preaching, Teaching, Training, Outreach and Fellowship. Sister Valerie Ferron, must be commended for her role in helping to mobilise our Outreach programme through relevant and up-to-date materials e.g. literatm·e, (Daily Bt·ead) CDs etc. Youth and Christian Ed. Dept, Women and Men’s Ministry are ticking but we trust this year their alarm bells bellow because of comprehensive changes and growth in all dimensions. Our urgent needs are the Birth of New Souls, the replacing of our suspended roof and the refurbishment of our toilets and so we ask that you will register us in your prayers as we work and wait upon God. For they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;, they shall mount up with wings as eagle, they shall run, and not grow weary, they shall walk and not faint. Derby Church Pastor Paul Gordon has been the pastor of NTCG Derby since 2008 and is privileged and honored to present this report for 2010-2011. Pastor Gordon is married to Mary and they are blessed with three handsome boys, Myles, Montel and Maxwell, Derby continues to experience spiritual and numerical growth to God’s glory. We maintain our aim is to ensure the church reflects the community by engaging everyone, regardless of their social or racial background. Youth Department Our children’s department continues to experience growth as our children grow spiritually; we commend our committed teachers and workers. Our Sunday School provides a stable teaching ground for our visitors and members and we continue to develop this area. The growth within our young people has been evident as we have seen some of them taking their baptism and receiving the baptism with the Holy Ghost during the overflow on their youth day. Men and Women’s Departments Our Men’s department saw in excess of 30 men attending a joint outreach to Scarborough between Derby and Burton. With the guest speaker, various sessions and the accommodation, the men thoroughly enjoyed their development time away. So much so, we have another session planned for later this year. Our church is blessed by our Women’s ministry, serving both the church and the community across the various ages. Services and Attendance Our Sunday mornings are increasing in attendance and we are rarely without new visitors weekly. Our services, including our Life Changing Prayer Meetings are a time when we experience the move of God in a very evident way. Since our last report we have held two baptisms with a third planned for later this year, again with various ages and racial groups equally represented Our investment in the building has moved to its next stage with the revamping of the men’s and disabled people’s toilet. The work is on-going. Pastor thanks all members and visitors for their continual love and support to the glory of God. Brighton Road Alvaston Derby DE24 8SZ
