Join us for the 2021 CCM Convention. Get Together Again with more than 1,000 state and local government leaders in Connecticut, at Mohegan Sun.
It all begins now with your registration…
The day opens in the Murtha Law Exhibit Hall for breakfast. Explore our exhibit hall filled with cuttingedge companies ready to provide solutions for your municipal concerns. More than 150 exhibitors await to help you with all your municipal needs. More than a dozen workshops will help you learn about navigating the challenges of working in local government. Hear from your colleagues and subject matter experts on topics ranging from risk management, an update from CCM’s ARP Advisory Committee, the Connecticut Trail Finder, affordable housing and land use legislation, a panel with state commissioners, short-term grants, cybersecurity, and more! We have also invited Connecticut’s congressional delegation to participate in a (special panel/ fireside chat) on Wednesday morning.
Lunch, Awards & More
CCM’s 6th Annual Municipal Excellence Awards, graciously sponsored by Halloran Sage, will be presented during the November 30th lunch. These awards recognize innovative projects and individuals that have significantly improved the quality of life for citizens, established partnerships, and built community support. The competition applauds the achievements of leaders and municipalities and encourages others to strive for excellence. We will also present our fourth graduating class of CCMOs, Certified Connecticut Municipal Officials, with their certificates. And, we will again award municipalities for participating in the Sustainable CT program.
Annual Meeting, Dinner, & Awards
Join us at the end of the afternoon for a pre-dinner reception, hosted by CIRMA. Be sure to stick around Tuesday evening for our Annual Meeting highlighted by the presentations of the Joel Cogen Lifetime Achievement Award and Richard C. Lee Innovators Award. These Municipal Excellence Awards are presented in honor of CCM’s longtime, 40-year Executive Director, and the founder of CCM and former long-time New Haven mayor respectively. In addition, we will also present our 5th annual #LoCoolGov scholarships, sponsored by Post University. After dinner, the President’s Reception will be held just down the hallway at Game On.
This year, we are excited to partner with the United Way of South Eastern Connecticut/Tommy’s Toy Fund to help those less fortunate than us. We hope you will participate in this holiday toy drive by bringing a new, unwrapped toy with you!
Come celebrate the successes of Connecticut communities with us. Renew your spirit, recharge your batteries, and reconnect with your peers! You owe it to yourself and your community to be part of CCM’s Annual Convention at Mohegan Sun on November 30th and December 1st. CCM believes in Connecticut’s towns and cities.
