The Growth of PVC Demand is to Reach 5 persent in 2011 2011-03-16 Promoted by the demand of building, infrastructure and irrigation industry, it is expected that the demand of PVC in Southeast Asia is going to increase by 5% in 2011. The demand of PVC was 1.5 million tonnes in Southeast Asia, taking up 4.4% of total in the world. Thailand is the biggest consumer country in Southeast Asia, taking up 28% of total consumption in Southeast Asia in 2010. The supply of PVC was 1.9 million tonnes in Southeast Asia in 2010, surplus volume was 0.4 million tonnes. It is forecasted that it will keep surplus in the future 5 years. But the view of PVC demand in Thailand is still good due to the low consumption and the large growth potential.
