Renewable Feedstock Actively Promoted in China

Guangzhou China, June 15, 2011 - Renewable feedstock is actively promoted in China so as to boost the development of white biotechnology industry.

Renewable feedstock can be divided into food feedstock and non-food feedstock. Food feedstock, such as corn, sugar, wheat and rice, etc., is most widely adopted in WB industry, because the supply is abundant and the production technology of their downstream products is mature enough.

While the use of non-food feedstock such as cassava, Jatropha curcas L., etc, is actively promoted in China nowadays. For example, cassava is used as the raw material to produce fuel ethanol in China. Moreover, mixed with gasoline, cassava can also be used to produce automotive fuel.

Considered to be eco-friendly and low-cost, renewable feedstock is great for China’s Sustainable Development Programme, and the Chinese government is dedicated to accelerating the development of white biotechnology industry in China.

What are the governmental supports and regulations? What is the supply and demand of the renewable feedstock in China? Which renewable feedstock has the most potential?

You will find all these answers in the third-edition report of Future of White Biotechnology in China , which presents you a profound analysis on the renewable feedstock of white biotechnology in China, including the supply and demand, competition at home and abroad, related policies and regulations.
