Reforms to P&C Federation The NSW Parliament has introduced legislation to reform the NSW Federation of Parent and citizens Associations, which has suspended operation pending Supreme Court action. While these reforms will not affect the day-to-day operation of individual school P&Cs, they will introduce a new executive structure which will ensure the Federation operates as a modern and representative body on behalf of school P&C Associations. Each school’s P&C will be asked to vote for councillors and delegates who will represent their electorate at the Federation’s Annual General Meting and councillors who will serve on the Federation’s Board of management. More information will be available on the Department’s website: http://www.schools.nsw.aud.au/gotoschool/a-z/involement.php

Cowra Council recently changed parking regulations in front of the Infants Department. There is a new drop off zone west of the School Crossing in Myall St in the morning from 8am to 9.30am. The “No Parking” rule is: you must not stop on a length of road to which a “No Parking” sign applies unless you are dropping off or picking up passengers or goods. You cannot stop for longer than 2 minutes. Fine is $169 + loss of 2 demerit points.
