We can’t wait to see you around campus! But before you start your first day of classes, our orientation will help prepare you for all that CCS has to offer.

Apply for On-Campus Housing

If you want to live on campus this fall, follow these steps:

Pay Your $250 Enrollment Deposit

Visit ccsdetroit.edu/admissions/incomingstudents to pay your deposit.

Complete the Housing Application Log in to your CCS Access Manager account, select the icon Mercury and fill out the application. Specific move-in details will be provided by the Student Housing Office once you have made all payments and you have been assigned a space.

Group shuttles are provided from DTW airport to CCS by appointment as needed.

Please confirm your flight arrival information, transportation needs and move-in needs with the Global Engagement Office by August 12, at global@ccsdetroit.edu.

Welcome Week

Join us! All activities are open to both residents and commuters. Highlights of the week include:

Meet & Eat Resource Fair

The perfect opportunity to join a student organization, learn more about campus resources, and get to know fellow students after New Student Orientation! Free food, music, games, giveaways, and resource and information tables.

Campus Tours

Join returning students on an in-depth tour of campus. Tours are offered throughout Welcome Week, and registration for tours opens during Pre-Orientation.

CCS After Dark Students arrive at sundown to glow in the night! During the event, students can find themselves glow painting on canvas, body painting, playing volleyball, doing the limbo, playing Twister and glow pong, and so much more... all while dancing and eating popular food from Detroit!

Detroit Food Tour

The most delicious tour you’ll ever take!

Get a taste of some of Detroit’s local fare on this guided tour of area restaurants that are all within walking distance from the CCS campus!

Monroe Street Midway Trip

Students can lace up their blades or skates and roll around a rink right in the heart of Detroit. Skate to the music, enjoy food from the outdoor concessions, and observe the original artwork created by some of Detroit’s most prominent artists.

New Student Orientation

Monday, August 26 (On campus, in person)

Get the information you need to be successful as you begin your journey at CCS! Meet your faculty, pick up your student ID and get connected with campus resources.

New International Student Check-In Tuesday, August 27

9 a.m. — 5 p.m. ET

International students will complete Pre-Orientation online modules in August and attend both New International Student Check-In and New Student Orientation.

Meet other CCS students and get settled into life on campus. Our staff will work with you to ease your transition to CCS. More details will be shared as the date draws near. Plan to bring your I-20 or DS-2019 Forms, visa and passport
