Burholme Playground 1400 Cottman Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19111
The project at Burholme Playground was a $470,000 retrofit of the existing playground and parking lot which had significantly degraded. The playground sits within the larger Burholme Park that is in the north outskirts of Philadelphia and allowed adequate space to design for ADA accessibility throughout the unified playground areas, picnic tables, seating and walkways. This was an in-house design that had been on pause for 5 years when I inherited it. I revised the playground, parking lot, and site layout, acquired the permits, and managed the project through to construction completion.

Finley Recreation Center 7701 Mansfield Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19150
The following GSI site analysis was a typical planning representation of the high and medium potential drainage areas that could be managed on-site and/or in the Right Of Way surrounding the site. This was an in depth analysis of the existing site and ROW conditions and drainage areas which reported the opportunities and constraints of proposed GSI projects.

GSI Surface Features Potential
East Park Rain Gardens I provided a streets drainage analysis of the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood and planning package that identified optimal locations for Green Stormwater Infrastructure implementation in East Fairmont Park. Utilising field visit observations, record utility and topography drawings, and ArcGIS data I concluded that there are 3.64 acres of drainage areas that could be GSI managed.
Green Stormwater Infrastructure Planning Package Scope
Vare Washington School 1198 S 5th St, Philadelphia, PA 19147
This culturally diverse school serves children ages Pre-Kindergarten, 4 years, to 8th grade, 14 years. The school is on the National Register of Historic Places, with over 1 acre of outdoor concrete paved and accessible roof spaces. The school community desired to primarily revitalise the schoolyard, in addition to two rooftop spaces, and the south east borders of the school. Our aim was to reflect a welcoming and inclusive environment that promote active play, outdoor learning, and a multitude of events for the growing school and community. This was a Community Design Collaborative team project where I provided pro bono landscape architecture services.

Programming Concept
Vare Washington School We produced a final concept design package that covered site and stormwater analysis, roof assessment, order of magnitude cost estimate for the conceptual design, phasing and maintenance direction and timeline. This helped the school clarify their vision and material to fundraise and carry the project through to reality.
Concept Site Layout
Philabundance Alley Park The following design concept was a part of a Philadelphia Water Green Stormwater Infrastructure Planning package in the Kensington and Ludlow neighborhoods. The analysed site is vacant land in the public right-of-way, ROW, with opportunities for stormwater management practices integrated with community garden plots and park programming.
Christopher Columbus Boulevard Ramps This project was for the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation, DRWC, to address site work and improvements to State Route 2001 along Christopher Columbus Blvd with the Ramp M and Ramp CH removals. The tasks included drafting construction drawings for demolition, soils and planting plans, and planting schedules.
Northern Liberties Flood Relief Planning: Phase VI This task was an Area Analysis of a current GSI project to determine additional greening and surface GSI opportunities and make plant recommendations. The intersection at Germantown Ave and Thompson St was a key location to manage stormwater in this neighborhood watershed and implement green traffic calming measures that would be to the community and pollinator habitats.
