Helping Little Hands

HELPING HAND

More than 40% of the Barbara Davis Center’s children are uninsured or underserved. The cost of diabetes care and supplies can be devastating to a family in financial need. This program provides diabetes supplies, travel and accommodation costs, medical alert IDs, and much more to patients and families in need of assistance. In addition to providing financial assistance to families, the Helping Hand Program also supports workshops that offer education and emotional support for newly diagnosed patients and their families.

HELPING LITTLE HANDS

The Helping Little Hands Program provides financial support for pregnant women with type 1 diabetes to ensure they have the proper technology, supplies, and associated appointment funds to ensure a healthy pregnancy and baby. The program serves at-risk pregnant women who do not have access to Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) systems and other related resources to improve their diabetes care.

MONTHLY GUILD MEETINGS

Guild Members meet monthly to review program and event updates and connect with the T1D community. Each Guild meeting features a speaker whose subject matter is most often about diabetes research, care, or emotional well-being.
