At the heart of Covent Garden, one of the most popular tourist destinations in London, our site is situated within a highly vibrant public space, a shared area for vehicles and pedestrians --- “The Circus.”
Amidst Covent Garden’s historical backdrop, interwoven with the industrial legacy and the fashion era, our architectural mission resonates with the ethos of maintenance and repair, directed towards sustainable clothing practices by extending clothing longevity. In an era marred by textile waste and unsustainable consumerism, our vision stands as a beacon of change, deeply anchored in utility, community, and the revival of a mindful buying culture.
The project attempts to reinterpret the lightweight characteristics of clothing and fabrics through architectural language, while applying the curves and dynamics of human walking, the layering and translucency of the fabric to the façade that appears as if it were a floating veil over the city, revealing beneath it a background of the most fundamental British architectural material, red bricks, with the streets serving as the stage for the models.
Overall, the space is divided into two parts, the ground floor as the audience seating and backstage, and the first floor as the exhibition space and workshop. The track wraps around the venue and then back backstage.

Thump!
The interplay of Visuals and Movement.
What will unfold here is a feast of visuals and movementsexternal, internal, seated, standing, looking down, looking up - focusing on the strides of the models and the clothing made from recycled fabrics on their bodies. Moving fast, slow, tall, short, professional models, community members, will all present on this runway.
The variation in the fins’ height and layers will enhance the fashion show’s rhythm while creating a unique visual effect that allows the models’ silhouettes to appear and disappear intermittently, and thus engage external spectators’ interest in the fashion show and create a distinction between the experiences of those inside and outside the venue.
These sensory shift brought by the interaction based on human propotions is closely linked to the street, implying that the space aims to reduce the opposition between fashion and daily life while emphasizing the embedded nature of the building in the community
I tried to blur the sharp boundary between the nature and the manmade extension of nature (architecture).
The circulation and layout of traditional worker cottages are encapsulated and deconstructed, which allows the discrete space to gradually integrate into nature. The layout of the walls follows the user’s line of sight to ensure the privacy of the occupants and further suggest the fluidity of the space.
On the site, the sharp boundaries between the suburbs and the industrial zone divide it, tearing it into two segments and I ponder when this scar was formed. Time cannot flow in reverse, yet history may have the ability to reappear. This land can serve as a medium of information, narrating the stories of the past to people. In the vision within my mind, as history returns, the blurred boundaries between the suburbs and the industrial zone gradually dissolve, and the city returns to nature.
The sun shines through the shadows of the leaves, through the branches, through the place where I perch, and down on the river, flashing a faint light. It is a dialogue with nature that is still alive in the industrial land, a great link to the past and the future, a blur of time and space.
The external nature gradually follows the internal garden into the interior, and the wooden frame is no longer a structure but as part of nature, we live in nature, under the trees. INTERIOR RENDERING
Contemporary architecture appears to be in a moment where form is no longer inherently connected to anything else. So this building is attempting to redefine the position of buildings in nature and history, unifing structure and form as recognizable symbols, viewing inhabited spaces as habitats, and thus creating an extension of artificial nature permeated by shadows, sunlight, wind, and plants.
COMBINED FLOOR PLAN
Scale @1:100
Perhaps it is tomorrow, perhaps it is now, The growing nature spreads into the warehouse, As the same leafy shadows penetrate the land, The boundaries of inside and outside blur, The boundaries of production and habitation merge, The boundaries of industry and nature gradually dissolve.
TYPOLOGY NO.2CO-HOUSING
The site is near by Typology No.1 but was once completely occupied by industry, and in contrast to the vigorous industrial Revolution, the natural recovery is less noticeable. This tiny, but exceptionally powerful energy gradually permeates the space, and this force gradually tears apart industrial warehouses and enters every creanny. The project metaphor takes the relationship between nature and industry, and attempts to introduce a “link” to think about the formation of a continuum between nature and artificial creation, and the formation of a gap in the transition.

DESCRIPTION:
The project entails an study of the structural and design elements of a high-rise building. The building incorporates a concrete side core outrigger-shear structure and encompasses various functions, such as a ground floor lobby, podium tower, office spaces, high-rise hotel lobby, hotel accommodations, amenities, mechanical levels, and a crown at the summit. This portfolio showcases the floor plan of the office area, accompanied by detailed sections and plans detailing the construction of the single-glazed curtain wall, exterior aluminum perforated sun fins, mechanical ventilation systems, exterior solar panels, and 3D rendered models.

DESCRIPTION:
The proposed improvements to the building facing St Georges Road prioritize enhanced thermal and sound insulation, durability, and adaptability. And the key enhancements include the use of acoustic wall linings, timber batten acoustic suspended ceiling, UPVC triple glazed windows, and the pitched green roof at the top. These upgrades aim to create a more sustainable, comfortable, and resilient building environment for the project.
