are the activities that will ensure the implementation of the prepared plan?

The needs of a community vary and may range from simple to complex. These issues or needs arise from the problems faced by the people who are part of it. The barangay or LGU must meet the needs of its constituents in order to be effective in its management. Otherwise, community members will find it difficult to own and embrace the programs and projects it wants to implement. But the BLGU cannot meet all the needs of their constituents all at once. It needs to allocate its available resources wisely, and addressing a variety of needs often times require a lot of resources.

Given the limitations in resources and the wide range of needs present in the community, prioritizing is key. This will enable the local governments to focus on their most immediate needs. After careful analysis of the problems of the community, selecting priority issues must be carried out with the help of community members.

Accreditation of community-based people’s organization

Requirements of accreditation are the following: • Letter of application for accreditation • Accomplished Application and Accreditation Form (AAF) to the SB • Certificate of Registration issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission • List of current officers, • Annual accomplishment report, and • Financial statement for the immediately preceding year Coordination is encouraged among NGOs working for the same sector in the barangay as only one NGO per sector will be accredited.
