The North East Indians started their Ace, Alesia Doctor to battle the defending 1A State Champion Huskies of Patterson Mill on Friday. The Indians were able to keep the game within reach until the 6th inning. Patterson Mill would only build a 3 run lead on the Lady Indians in the first five innings but a 5 run sixth inning would seal the Indians fate as the pitching from Patterson Mill was near perfect the entire game. Patterson Mill would only give up one hit the entire game as they shut out the Indians 9-0. The Indians had 11 errors in the game. Doctor faced 40 batters in the game throwing 90 strikes of her 129 pitches over seven innings. The Lady Indians will get another shot at Patterson Mill on April 25 when they travel to the Huskies for the rematch.
