Tome Seniors reflected on playing for the Titans: Maggie Evans #31
“Growing up I’ve always wanted my senior night so it feels like it's all come full circle. I started playing in seventh grade and the seniors were always there for us so just being able to carry on that Tome tradition means a lot. Watching the younger girls play is rewarding and I’m honestly happier watching them play and grow.”
“Senior night is such a surreal moment. Since we have seen it for so long its finally us. It’s kind of like in the movies when the perspective changes and you realize this is what it actually is. For me hearing everyone cheer for us, having my friends here that ive grown up with, it couldn't of been more perfect. It’s exactly what I expected, which is the best thing to expect.” Emmersen Peel #13
“ Tonight was really emotional. I thought i’d be fine and it would be like any other game but after everyone’s speeches it was kinda sad because it’s one of my last home games i’m ever going to play here. At least it was a good game, it was really special.”
“One of my favorite moments this year was when we were playing against Rising Sun and down at the half. Our coach gave us a talk telling us to get our act together and some plays to run and we came back and played with a lot more intensity and we ended up beating them by like 20 points. What I’ve learned this year was never give up, there’s always more effort you can give, there's always something you can do to contribute.” Carliegh Johnson #4
“I definitely think Coach Palmer has helped me alot this year we;ve had about four different coaches throughout our basketball career starting in eighth grade. Having him made a huge difference, he definitely pushed me and he helped me become a better player, more confident in my shots even when it's not my best.”
