Topics discussed include managing room acoustics, HDR, implementing immersive audio, designing interiors that maximise performance, and offering premium content to your customers. This will be a fast paced and intensive course that will challenge attendees to take their cinema designs to new levels of performance and profit. The day will mix teaching, with discussions, practical exercises and demonstrations. Prices based on the current exchange rate and subject to change
The purpose of this course is to provide a foundation for understanding IP (Internet Protocol). It is appropriate for both beginners and individuals looking to formalise and increase their IP networking knowledge. With the vast majority of subsystems now having the ability to be converged over an IP network, this is arguably the most important topic to make sure that you have a solid foundation in. Topics covered include: • Understanding the 7 layer OSI Model and how it relates to networking (essential learning) • Applying the OSI model to residential network structure and setup • Recognising and understanding basic network hardware • IP Addressing - using the right addresses for the right job • Basic network troubleshooting
This is a mixed exam session for anyone who would like to take any of the three main CEDIA certifications – ESC-T, ESC-N and ESC-D. We will begin with a short Q&A session, followed by a two-hour exam comprised of 100 multiple choice questions. It is highly recommended to review the corresponding certification Job Task Analysis and take the Pre-Test Assessment prior to attending. For more information, please visit www.cediaeducation.com/ certification.
• By the end of this course, participants should be able to: explain common network protocols such as TCP, UDP, IP, DHCP, DNS, and NAT, understand the functions of a consumer router in a wired environment and begin basic troubleshooting in a consumer level IP network. www.cediaeducation.com

From felt tipped pens to 3D modelling documentation is the greatest tool in the designers armoury and without it no project will ever reach a successful conclusion. This course will explore and explain the documents that make up a successful project from architectural plans, schematics, wiring schedules, change order forms and specifications to final client sign off.

Design is CEDIA’s middle name and is perhaps the most important aspect of a home technology professional’s work. This course will introduce the notion of “Design Thinking” to give integrators the tools they need to perform effective client discovery and needs assessment from a human-centric, end user perspective. We’ll explore how design is different from engineering and introduce practical methods you can use for every project, including client interview techniques, radical brainstorming and rapid prototyping to test your ideas well before you “engineer” the project.
