Speaker Bios & Seminars: All seminars will be held at The American Royal Complex Alpacas 101: Presenter— Great Northern Ranch, Steve & Sue Rolfing
Steve and Sue Rolfing have helped countless alpaca newcomers get started with sage advice based on 34 years of experience. Long before the first U.S. alpaca importation, they were breeding and packing with llamas, then brought the first alpacas to Montana in 1992. The Rolfings have been successful in the show and sale ring, setting price records in the U.S. and Canada. Their Great Northern Ranch herd has been featured on the NBC TODAY show, Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs, the PBS series Trailside, in Outside magazine, Wall Street Journal, Sunset Magazine and many more. Alpacas 101 An introduction to basic health care, breeding and birthing, housing, feeding and herd management for new or prospective owners. The Rolfings offer practical advice and simple steps for enjoying alpacas with results that are high in animal health and breeding success, and low in human stress and business expense. No question is too basic, so ask away!
Simply Suri: Presenter— PUcara International, Alan Cousill
“Simply Suri” is an introduction to the Suri breed. Share with Alan 15 years of his Suri farming. In an open discussion learn what makes a good Suri and how to not only succeed in the show ring but in the market place. Alan and his wife, Jude Anderson of judging fame, owned Pucara Alpaca Stud in Australia, the leading Suri herd in the country at the time. Alan sat on the Aussie A.A.A. National Committee for 3 years and chaired both the National Show and Sale committee and National Seminar. He chaired the National marketing, and sat on the show and import screening committees. In 2001 Alan moved to the US to help his good friend Mike Safley run a marketing and progeny improvement program, the Studmaster Program, at Northwest Alpacas in Hillsboro, OR which incorporated the Ideal Alpaca Community. It involved building the first EPD’s for alpacas. Al and Jude run 300 plus alpacas, mostly Suri on the Oregon farm. In 2012 Pucara achieved what no other Suri breeder has winning Light and Dark Futurity Herdsire of the Year.
Alpacas-A Businessman’s Strategies for Success: Presenter— Magical Farms, INc., Jerry Forstner
In order to sell your alpacas you have to market your alpacas! This seminar will cover effective marketing techniques available to, and utilized by, the alpaca industry. Jerry Forstner has degrees in finance and law, he has started and marketed over 15 businesses in all different fields, each requiring marketing. Jerry and his wife, Libby, started Magical Farms 20 years ago in 1993 - the farm has grown to the largest in America and every marketing technique available has been utilized. In that time, new communication channels have blossomed and continue to change rapidly, making effective marketing an ever evolving pursuit!

Speaker Bios & Seminars: continued Alpaca Marketing Today: Presenter— Mure Media, Hazen Reed
It shouldn’t take piles of money to market your business. It does take thoughtful planning and the right tools. Marketing isn’t just advertising. It’s more about establishing relationships with your customers. Today, prospects want answers to their questions. Success comes from engaging customers when they’re ready, not when it’s convenient for you. Gone are the days of just buying print ads and listing your animals ‘for sale’. You need an integrated marketing strategy that leverages technology (list-building, search, mobile, web, social, email, video) to help you cultivate relationships. Discover solutions (many so simple) to attract, convince and convert prospects into solid loyal customers. Hazen and his wife Susan Muther have helped alpaca breeders, new & established, improve their business through effective marketing. Together they run Mure Media Marketing Consultants, and BreedWorks — a subscription-only resource and support system for building more profitable businesses. Oh, and they know alpacas-- they own HaSu Ranch Alpacas and raise both suri and huacaya alpacas.
Fiber, Farm Stores & Finance: Presenter— Oregon Alpaca Farm, Gabe & Jessica White
Jessica and Gabe White were both raised on ranches near Bend, Oregon. After getting married in 1998, they purchased their first alpacas in 2003 and established Oregon Alpaca Farm. Like many couples today, it is important to the family finances to have two incomes. While Gabe works outside the farm, and both of the couple work with the alpacas, Jessica has developed a special niche working in the fiber community, converting their alpaca fleeces to value added products which are marketed through their farm store, and corporate trunk shows. Gabe and Jessica will share their knowledge of fiber, how to add value to your fleece, and diversify your alpaca revenue streams.
Maximizing Value and Enjoyment: Presenter— Celebrity Sales, Tim Vincent
Tim Vincent grew up on a farm near Corvallis, Oregon, and is a Business graduate of Oregon State University. It was while attending college, he first became aware of camelids. He and his wife Teresa, a Biology graduate of Oregon State, were married in 1985 and have been involved in raising camelids (along with a variety of other “interesting” animal species) ever since. In 1989, Tim, along with Tom Simmons founded Celebrity Sales. The company produces the Futurity Show and Sale, manages the AOBA National Auction, and many other other well known U.S. alpaca auctions. In the seminar Tim will tell you how successfully use auctions for buying and selling, as well as give tips on how to keep your farm operation fun and profitable.
End of DaY Q&A
Seminar attendees will have an opportunity to get more specific details and answers to any remaining questions at the end of the day, Friday April 19th. You can meet with all seminar presenters for an end of day refreshment and informal Question and Answer session after the last seminar is presented.

Micro-chips Required All alpacas in AOBA certified shows must be micro-chipped, and must be identified by their micro-chip number on all forms and health documents. Please check that all alpacas are properly micro-chipped prior to coming to the show as any alpaca with a missing or unreadable micro-chip may be denied entry into the show facility. BVD Testing Required All alpacas entered in or present at the Futurity Show & Sale, and all AOBA Certified shows must be tested negative for BVDV. For any BVDV testing done in or after 2010, PCR is the only accepted method of testing for shows. For testing that was done previous to 2010 both PCR and VI will be accepted. Negative results shall be indicated on the Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) (Health Papers). Remember to bring a copy of your CVI for your Show Superintendent as we are required to keep a copy of your Certificate of Veterinary Inspection. Notice We remind people that the requirement of a negative BVDV test will not eliminate the possible presence of BVDV at the show, but will greatly reduce the risk of exposure. It is strongly recommended that all exhibitors institute on-farm bio-security protocols for returning from any show or other alpaca event to minimize the risk posed by BVDV and other contagion.

Futurity Show Judges & Trophies The Futurity Show is one of the best venues to showcase your breeding program, large or small. Known as the ‘Grand-Daddy of them all,’ The Futurity Show is the place to prove your breeding program with prize-money in six classes. Compete with the best. Compete in The Futurity! Judges for The Futurity Show 2013 Peter Kennedy Peter and his partner established Canchones Alpacas in 1998. Starting on ten acres with two females, the herd has grown to some 350 black alpacas (250 huacaya and 100 suri). In 2003, the alpaca stud was relocated to a 400 acre property in North East Victoria, Australia.
In 2004, Peter spent three months in Peru selecting black alpacas to be added to the Canchones breeding program. In all thirty huacaya and five suri, were selected by Peter and imported into Australia. Peter has been a full time alpaca breeder for the last five years. He manages the breeding program of the Canchones herd, on a daily basis, using the latest techniques including ET (Embryo Transfer) and the SRS system. Peter successfully attended the International Alpaca Judging School (IAJS) in the Peruvian altiplano in 2004. He has also been certified as both an AOBA (Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association) and AAA (Australian Alpaca Association) judge.

In addition to receiving one of our signature trophies, Color and Reserve Color Champions will receive an ‘over-the-back’ banner, a Futurity tradition since its inception.

Futurity 2013 Trophies
Small Breeders Challenge Judges & Trophies The Small Breeder Challenge is an AOBA sanctioned show, specifically for farms with 20 or less, total, ARI registered females. (Male alpacas do not count toward breeder size.) This show allows smaller farms to compete strictly against other farms with similar resources. While the Small Breeder Challenge will be held under the same roof as the Futurity show, the two shows will be handled completely separately. AOBA has granted a waiver allowing us to give special “Small Breeders Challenge Color Group” awards (rather than Color Champion and Reserve Color Champion), so long as there are 5 huacayas or 4 suris within a color group and that those entries come from two or more classes. This will allow the awarding of trophies to many more competitors!
2013 Small Breeder Trophies & Banners
The Small Breeder Challenge trophies are created by the same artist who creates the Futurity trophies, Rick Rowley. Rick’s custom designed Small Breeder Challenge trophies will be awarded to Color Group and Reserve Color Group winners. For show placements from 1st through 6th, we will also be awarding ribbons.
Judge FOR The Small Breeders Challenge 2013 Helen Humphreys Helen Humphreys, along with her husband Jim, has been breeding and raising alpacas since 2001 and Helen has been very active within the alpaca community. She served as the President of the Pennsylvania Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association, managed the PAOBA Breeders Showcase, served on the Mid-Atlantic Alpaca Association Board of Directors, and served on several Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association committees. At Alpacas at Marquam Hill Ranch, we believe that alpaca breeding is a science informed by statistics, data and quantitative analysis. However, it is equally an art, improving deficiencies and solidifying positive characteristics. We gather scientific information such as EPDs, skin biopsies and histograms and blend that data with breeding styles handed down by some of the most renowned breeders and academics. Before adding an animal to the herd, we conduct extensive research into its lineage to ensure each possesses the conformation, enduring fineness and other fleece characteristics that meet our strategic goals. Both of us have backgrounds that hinged on providing excellent customer service at one of the most successful retail stores in the country. This training is invaluable because it sets a standard to provide our customers that same type of service. This level of service includes exceptional communication and support to help them reach their goals. We believe in the enduring success of the alpaca industry.
Amber Autumn Alpacas main ranch is located in Culver, Oregon. Owned by Daryl and Shirley Krause our ranch is 107 acres of fully irrigated prime hay land. We are active members of the CLAA and AOBA. We also operate a secondary ranch on 30 acres in Edmonton, Alberta, on Highway 16A, approximately 4 kilometres east of the City of Spruce Grove, Alberta. We have been involved in the Alpaca Industry since 1997. Our objective has been to produce superior breeding quality alpacas with higher fleece weights, low micron, and solid color in four color lines: white, fawn, dark brown and black. Our herd consists of Peruvian, Bolivian, and Chilean bloodlines and Accoyo crosses of all three. We put major emphasis on maintaining strong hybrid vigor in all of our color lines while at the same time ensuring that we are breeding for excellent confirmation and type. As well, we want to maintain the following critically important reproductive traits: abundance of milk, easy to rebreed, quiet gentle personality. We absolutely refuse to breed genetic traits into our herd that will compromise these goals. All of our Alpacas are blood typed, CLR and ARI registered. All of our bred females are sold confirmed pregnant by ultra sound and with live birth guarantees. Financing terms when available are described with each sale animal.

An opportunity arose in 2012 that allowed the merger of 2 alpaca farms. One being Broken Road Alpacas, the larger of the two farms, which had the blue ribbon bloodlines from the Wilkins retirement herd as well as the knowledge necessary to manage and make a living raising alpacas. The smaller merged farm, Raynay Alpacas, was lesser known and was willing to learn the trade from the respected larger farm… the only thing that could be an obstacle was the 1300 miles that separated the 2 farms. After much thought it seemed the perfect fit, why not link the Midwest genetics to the East Coast? And so it was made official, the beginning of MillerMcMahan Alpacas, LLC, a merge to serve from the Midwest to the East Coast with any or all of your alpaca wishes.
Red Granite Ranch is a family run business, located on 400 acres in Northern Colorado at an elevation of 7,200 feet. The ranch sits at the base of the Rocky Mountains on rolling hills of prairie grassland. Our views are extreme. We are approximately 32 miles north of Ft. Collins, Colorado and 33 miles southwest of Cheyenne, Wyoming. It is just a hop skip and jump from Interstate 80 or Colorado Highway 287. Our family invites you to visit and experience our wonderful life style in the Rocky Mountains. We have been truly blessed with wonderful friends and breeders we have met. Without the guidance and help of numerous mentors we would not be experiencing the success we are having today. Our Hersires represent some of the best genetics available. Crescent Moon’s Shiftin Gears, Snowmass Matrix Rose, Snowmass Premonition, MFI Pistol and Snowmass Reserved have given us many outstanding offspring. Many of those offspring have proven themselves in the show ring and are beginning their own breeding careers. This next spring, MR Sizlin Rose, our 12 time Colorado Champion, including 2012’s Brown Futurity Champion, will have his first four cria on the ground. The foundation females these males have given us will not only improve our breeding program but also offers excellence for outside breeders

Owners Mark and Lori Cross have leaped into the alpaca world with full force, growing their alpaca herd from a small hobby farm of 7 alpacas to a respectable size farm of 100 + alpacas since August of 2010. Mark Cross has a strong understanding of the importance of positive genetic traits, from being a breeder of champion coon hounds for 30 years. He has directed his knowledge of building strong genetic traits to the Rock Creek Alpaca Herd, which includes a variety of great genetic blood lines from across the nation.
Snowmass Alpacas strives for excellence across our entire herd. Our efforts are acknowledged in high-end shows and sales in the United States and abroad. We are dedicated to producing genetics that will continue to advance the alpaca industry in the world marketplace. We work with scientists and Camelid breeders worldwide, seeking new advancements in preventative herd management, diagnostics and treatments. We are also working with various mills in fiber grading, sorting and milling so that we can give breeders a better perspective as to the direct relationship with fineness/crimp/length/color/ and many other variables as it relates to end products and fleeces we are breeding for. Snowmass has worked hard to keep a well-diversified breeding program and not narrow any of the genetic possibilities. This keeps our program exciting. The outcome of our advanced breeding program is as thrilling as the first day we started. A healthy, strong alpaca with high quality fiber in a spectrum of colors is directive for the present as well as the future.
The Cross family, with the support of the alpaca community, have come to understand the need to increase the quality of alpacas in the US. By striving to create a premier alpaca herd that will improve the quality of future generations of alpacas, the Rock Creek Alpaca Farm will help the close-knit alpaca community in reaching their goal of supplying the growing alpaca fiber industry with the materials they need to meet the demands of the industries that would like to use alpaca fiber. Rock Creek Alpacas is dedicated to producing healthy desirable alpacas with the best quality pedigree, fiber, and confirmation to go along with it. The show string at Rock Creek is proving the foundation choices made by the Cross’ are solid.

Snowmass Quechua's Bella Luna was bred to Snowmass Seven Below for a July 2013 cria. Snowmass Quechua's Bella Luna is a highly valued Quechua daughter who has graced our breeding program beyond our greatest expectations with the highest quality breeding Studs. Now all of them are in line for breeding. This year once again she has graced us with a most incredible bright advanced fleeced Champion in the Making son, Snowmass Luna del Amore, who we are offering with her. Crazy...
Named appropriately for a pedigree full of dark colors, there is more to this female than meets the eye. That is certainly a bold statement as there is a lot meeting the eye here. Enormously consistent of fleece and carrying excellent density while maintaining superb fineness for any color and especially for black. It was not a surprise to see the quality level here with Obsydian on the top and the full sister to Eternal Flame, Eternal, residing on the bottom. Included are huge names in the color world of Black Mesquite, Dom Timbo, Itabuna, Black Ice and Matador. I would breed this female to Candy Man as she has all the color that she needs in her pedigree, and you can sit back and watch as Running Late and Titan lines combine with the dark pedigree for outstanding offspring.

Crescent Moon's Talladega, (now owned by Black Hills Alpacas) is the full sister to Crescent Moon's Mattea featured here. Talladega had a fantastic show career in the fawn females, winning only blue ribbons as a juvenile. We expect the same success for Mattea and we fully expect that she will have an award winning breeding career as well. Mattea is a beauty and her fleece is far from average. Well-constructed, Mattea's fleece also reveals excellent density, brightness and uniformity of fineness. There is a reason that Mattea's sire, ATV Adonnis won 14 championships in his day and the Reserve Dark Herdsire of the Year at the 2012 Futurity Show. Mattea represents all that is great in Adonnis. Mattea sells with a breeding to any of our studs and our full ranch guarantees.
Manzanita's a full Accoyo daughter of Polaris, The Futurity White Color Champion and AOBA Fleece Show Judges Choice. Her photo says it all--Solid bone, robust presence, perfectly correct with the dense high character fleece of her sire. Manzanita's dam is a very true-to-type Vengador daughter. She's been bred to two time IAO Supreme Champion Accoyo America Ulysses for a June 2013 birth.

We don't generally expect when breeding a white male to a black female we'd get black but, Oh! When you do it's like hitting the Jack Pot in Vegas! Olivia is a beautiful true black with excellent conformation built on an outstanding genetic pedigree! She has a very soft fleece with medium frequency crimp, excellent density and staple length. Her ancestry includes some outstanding sires such as, Accoyo Don Juan, Timoteo, El Nino, Hemingway, Bueno, Mister Antonio, Mr. Roosevelt, and Snowmass Peruvian Casanova. We expect great things from Olivia and recommend breeding her to one of our black producers, MSA Pinot Noir or S&L Peruvian Bandito.
Our Mandolin is a beautiful dark fawn female out of Magic's Maura (black female out of multiple champion producing My Peruvian Obsydian, owned by Libby Forstner) and Jeremiah's Peruvian Jumanji, herdsire out of multiple Herdsire of the Year, Majestic Peruvian Jeremiah. As with Jeremiah, Jumanji was extraordinary from a very early age and has impressed the most well-respected judges in our industry from the second he walked into the ring. The degree of density, fineness, character and consistency seen in Jumanji's fleece is "truly extraordinary and stunning" and something that each and every judge that has seen him has praised and awarded him highly for. Mandolin is a gorgeous rich fawn color with beautiful luster, density and fineness with excellent character formation already, all packed onto a very lovely frame. She comes with a FREE breeding to Futurity Champion Crystal Spartan, proudly co-owned with Crystal Lake Alpacas.

Snowmass Pure Passion represents 30 years of our passion in breeding for the perfect colored fleece on the most beautiful bodied alpaca. When Pure Passion was born he was one that you could not take your eyes off. His fleece is oh so fine, and gloriously bright, showing consistency of excellence from top to bottom as his pedigree would predict and his histograms reflect. He was first shown in 2009 at AOBA Nationals where he won 1st and Champion. In 2010 he took 2nd at IAO to his brother Snowmass Matrix Elite with judges stating Matrix Elite to be denser and Pure Passion finer. Correctly so as you see in his 5th fleece. Snowmass Matrix Elite broke his leg which led to a systemic bone infection and sadly we lost him. Pure Passion moved straight into our breeding program in his stead. If you asked us to show you what we think an ideal alpaca looks like we would take you to the pasture to see Pure Passion. And YES, he can reproduce his excellence in every color.
Our 2011 National Reserve Champion "Vida" is a beautiful combination of rare bloodlines. When it came time to breed her dam, 2009 Nationals Reserve Champion, Kahuna's Rhapsody in White, we were given a rare opportunity to use 6Peruvian Chacahapoya (Accoyo) and the results are simply divine! Vida is stunning. Density, outrageous locking and blinding luster all on a compact frame with a gorgeous head. To top it off, Vida has a wonderful calm personality. Now that Vida is shorn, WOW...her fleece is coming in like gangbusters! Tight locks and luster throughout...she's beautiful!

We chose to breed her to the one and only Pucara Kahuna (multiple Futurity Herdsire of the Year who's now closed to the public). We feel very fortunate to have secured one of Kahuna's last public breedings. We feel this calculated breeding will secure the prepotent genetics of Kahuna and Chachapoya for future generations of elite fleeced alpacas.

VAC's Inga Binga has arrived! She is an irresistible light rose grey BEETHOVEN daughter. Gorgeous from head to toe, Inga Binga has dense, bright crimpy fiber on a beautifully balanced frame. With Beethoven genetics on the top and Snowmass Royal Rose genetics on the bottom she will without a doubt be an excellent producing female, and a must to be added to any grey breeding program. We are just thrilled with this beautiful girl and we know the quality is here as Inga Binga's full brother, VAC's Sound & Fury, was the champion indefinite male at the 2010 Empire Alpaca Show. In our eyes this girl is easily clearly better than her sibling and will immediately become a significant part of any farms show string. Inga Binga comes with a breeding to any of our herdsires or you can swap that breeding to be used on any other female owned by the buyer. So purchase Inga Binga and then breed another of your girls to Beethoven.
When was the last time you saw a 6Peruvian Accoyo Tsunami daughter with Accoyo Augusto and 6P Accoyo The Last Don as G-Grandsires in an auction? Probably a while, if ever. La Finca's Peruvian Moondance is extremely dense, fine, bright and her fleece is consistent throughout. You can sink your fingers into her fleece and feel the well-defined independent bundles, lots and lots of them! Her dam, Moonlite, from Nel Vickers awesome program is our heaviest sheer weight female, 9.4 lbs at 5 yrs old. Her sire, 6Peruvian Accoyo Tsunami is a direct import from Don Julio Barreda's "B" line Accoyos. He is putting some amazing stuff on the ground and Moondance is one of his very best. Moondance sells with a transferable breeding to any La Finca herdsire. My choice, I'd bring in the Legacy line with Snowmass Accoyo White Gold, known for passing fineness, bone, density and blinding brightness to his offspring. Many other excellent herdsires are also available for your discretion.

Is it really true? The top True Black producing male on the Wilkins Ranch and now calling home with Miller-McMahan Alpacas is up for public auction. We’re giving someone the opportunity to purchase 1/2 INTEREST in this True Black Stud and partner with us, Miller-McMahan Alpacas, and continue to produce Color Champions with him across the US. Some of his most recent Champion offspring include Lady of The Knight Color Champ), Zalika (Res. Color Champ), and Knights Morning Light (Res. Color Champ) at the Royal Alpaca Challenge in Georgia this past November. His offspring also had a very nice showing at the Northern Illinois Alpaca Expo as Knights Morning Light was awarded Color Champion and Zalika awarded Res. Color Champion. Psylent Knight was also the sire of the highest selling female ($70,000) at the National Elite Alpaca Auction! If you're looking to add color to your breeding program, why not use a producer of champions!
Zumbador's Rossi is a "Head Turning" upright Rose Grey Champ, Aussie .38 Special daughter. She has a strong, correct carriage supported by huge bones. Her championship caliber fleece demonstrates exceptional uniformity of fineness and grew close to 5 inches across her entire blanket in ‘12. Her fleece displays pleasing architecture and abundant brightness. For her 1st cria, we chose ATV Adonnis. Adonnis and .38 Special were Res. Dark & Champion Dark Herdsires of the Year at the ‘12 Futurity. An additional tidbit is Rossi's dam is a champ producing daughter of Mega Champ Crescent Moon's Rayo del Sol. The cria from this mating will combine genetics of 3 of the greatest grey show alpacas of all time. Their collective record is staggering. "The Golden Parachute", Rossi has one of the most amazing personalities you’ll ever experience. She’s captured our hearts with her inquisitive, sometimes "nosey" way. Gentle, nurturing and ever watchful of her pasture friends, we’ve come to refer to her as "Nurse Rossi". We’re proud to offer Rossi and hope you will give her serious consideration. "Nurse Rossi" will make sure you're glad that you did!

How about the opportunity to combine both lineage and fleece in the perfect proportions! Chocolate Swirl brings the amazing power of Jericho and Legacy on the sire's side through our new powerhouse Ceepsake. On the dam's side we find the spectacular consistency of Timoteo and Quetzal tied into the powerful color of the Coco Caria line. I love the consistency in this fleece. Personally, I know that I would choose to breed her to Candy Man to further the genetics and add Titan and Moustachio to the already star studded ARI line-up in this package. Whether or not you choose Candy Man, Chocolate Swirl comes with a breeding to any solely-owned unrestricted Magical Farms herdsire, and she sells with full Magical Farms guarantees. Be sure to check out Chocolate Swirl and then make your own breeding decision!
We would prefer every male we produce to look like Lower Bridge Theophilus. His square and boxy frame with great coverage and that "too die breed for" head. Theophilus is an Adonnis son and a champion. He represented his sire in his sixth place finish at the Futurity Get of Sire competition in 2012. That class saw five white males finish in front of Adonnis and a lot of white and other males left out of the ribbons. As a matter of fact, Theophilus has represented his dad in numerous other Get of Sire competitions where they won the blue ribbon. We tell you this because as if it were not enough to witness his own success in the ring it demonstrates just how quality Theophilus is. Breeders don't win such distinctions with anything less than quality. And what about his fleece? Theophilus has a fantastic black fleece. It is very bright and well-defined with exceptional density and exceptional uniformity of fineness. He is ready for your elite black breeding program! Darlin' Clementine is the result of two Champion Pedigrees merging with spectacular results. Her fleece shows unbelieveable luster, the number one characteristic sought in Suris. Add to that, impeccable lock and BBFAI conformation. It's a win-win situation. Clementine's sire, Prince of Angels (Crown Royale), has time and again produced show ring winners and was personally undefeated in the Show Ring. His three fawn offspring awarded him Reserve Get-of-Sire at the prestigious 2010 Futurity against multiple-time white winner, Kahuna. Clementine's dam, Everyone's Darlin', had an impressive show record as well, with Championships, Reserves, and wins in both Halter and Fleece. Darlin' and Prince are the perfect match to achieve the results we seek in our quality Suri program. We have paired them several times with great results. Darlin Clementine has a manageable and sweet temperament. She's ready for the show ring and the breeding barn!
HEADLINE: Genesee's Gigantic Genetics Justified by Jammin' Judges! Genesee's fleece has a uniform structure, density and fineness that we work so hard to achieve. There is a lack of primary fibers that add to the wonderful handle of this female. * Her Sire is a 9-time Champion and winner of ONE DOZEN Get of Sires. Genesee is a prime example of Simba's genetics and the fundamental fiber that is necessary in today's market. * Her Dam is a 3-time Champion with an extremely beautiful fleece. In fact, we were so impressed with this line that when we had the chance we purchased both Genesee's dam and grand dam. The results have been outstanding as Genesee proves. * Bred to 2-time Judge's Choice and 17-time Fleece and Halter Champion - Ringo Cloud who is co-owned with Tuscany Valley Alpacas. Her beautiful head and face are a pleasure to look at, and her gentle temperament makes her a double pleasure to be around. Moxie is good sized for her age, and her conformation is very correct. She is sired by our silver grey Orlando Cloud son, MKC Miami Vice, who has an amazing, award-winning fleece that won an AOBA Nationals Blue Ribbon and a Reserve Color Championship at the prestigious Denver show. Moxie's dam, GNLC Krikit, is one of our "keeper" Snowmass Nova's Inca daughters and a consistent producer of superb grey cria. OAF Accoyo Lumen Full Accoyo Lumen is one of those girls you will cherish and be glad you purchased her when you had the opportunity. Blessed with high luster, incredible locks that are fine and consistent from nose to tail, and density that is unmistakably Accoyo style. Her Sire, Accoyo Grand Luster, joined our team 2 years ago and had his first 4 crias last year for the show season...and we are thrilled with them. Lumen's Full Brother, Saison, is gorgeous and will certainly be on our 2013 show string. In 2012 as a juvie he won a 2nd at Futurity, 1st Alpacapalooza, and a 3rd at CABA Classic...all highly competitive shows. Grand Luster's pedigree goes Accoyo Riccardo and then up Santiago...a rare bloodline and unrelated to most full Accoyos. Lumen's Dam, Luminosa is a cornerstone our Accoyo breeding program...she is light fawn and has a gorgeous Luminous fleece (hence the name). Check out her family tree, you see heavy hitters such as Apache,Uribe, Dulcinea, Mallory Jane, and Ganador...iconic names that are responsible for producing Champions.

Amber Autumn Marnia is one of those females that took a while to bloom and blossom. We find that our Eclipse Alyst progeny display such a silky soft hand and long staple that it is easy to misjudge their density. Not so with Marnia anymore. Her fleece exhibits nice fineness, exceptional brightness and staple length, great density, and consistent character into her extremities, up her neck, and into her tail. Not surprising with a genetic fusion of Peruvian Sweet William, Peruvian Bueno, NGG Lionel, Peruvian Alpamayo, Peruvian Bonanza, and many prepotent dams in her pedigree. Marnia will be in the show ring at the futurity but more importantly, we hope to have her confirmed bred to Accoyo America Polaris, the exceptional full Accoyo herd sire that we co-own with Pacific Crest Alpacas. Polaris has the ability to produce color and we expect the cria to be a stunning colored future multiple ribbon winner for the lucky buyer! Good Luck!
Star Warrior has the same dense, high-frequency crimp fleece of his sire Road Warrior, and was an integral part of the winning Get-of-Sire team for his sire (IAO, Alpacapalooza, MAPACA, CABA Classic) in 2012. His dam is an El Nino daughter, Accoyo America Starfish, so he's a genetic combination of both Nautilus and El Nino lines, who hold the record for the two top stud fees bid at public auction. It's not surprising that Star Warrior has a truly elite fleece with the density and uniformity of El Nino and the fineness, fine-crimp and long staple of Nautilus. With an AFD of 14.0 microns, SD of 3.1, % over 30 of 0.5%, spinning fineness of 13.8 in 2012, the soft handle of his fleece is breathtaking. Star Warrior's mean crimp curvature is 56.3, which, along with a CPI of 11 crimps per inch give his fleece exciting visual appeal. He's a robust, upright junior herdsire with a handsome, true-totype head that will give his sire a "run for his money".

His Fiber was selected to promote the directive of Super Royal Fleece Production in the Snowmass Breeding Program. The one thing he and Seventh Angel have in common besides a Royal Champion Dam is the Sub-Zero lineage. This is the one and only lineage which has brought a very crucial element in consistency of fineness to our herd. Seventh Angel's sire is Snowmass Seven Below. He has brought through great fineness and amazing bright silky hand with brilliant consistency. Seven Below's Histogram at 5 years of age is 18.2 2.9 16.1 0.4 with Spin Fineness of 17.04. The fact is this stud has the Premier genetics for high curvature and ultimate fineness. Golden Breeze has a typey phenotype along with a compact frame with excellent substance of bone. Her bright fleece exhibits extreme density, ultimate fineness and consistency. She sells with a complimentary breeding to MFI Peruvian Titan's Clash. Titan's Clash along with Snowmass Matrix make-up the "Dynamic Duo" at Double "O" Good Alpacas for their undeniable genetic gains they have made in the industry. You will be sorry if you let this girl get away! Her first offspring will be carrying the "Dynamic Duo" genetic power of Snowmass Matrix and MFI Peruvian Titan's Clash.
What a great maternal line that Chelliza hails from! This line is all about fine black fiber and show ring excellence. Chelliza's dam was a multiple blue ribbon winner and her maternal sister, Crescent Moon's Cassia (now owned Alpaca Country Estates) a multiple black female champion. All that greatness can be seen in Chelliza. She has a lovely fleece which is very fine. You can see by her picture that the vegetation is stuck to her like glue. This is an outward indicator of the fineness that she possess. Her sire is an up and comer here, Fir Cove's Cisco Kid. He is a black representative of the merged Caligula and the Victor lines and we have been very impressed with his limited production thus far. Chelliza sells with full ranch guarantees and a breeding to any of our studs. We would select Futurity Champion, Crescent Moon's Thelonius if you want to stay with black.

Arcturus is a ribbon winning son of a multiple champion black dam. The sire Chakotah of CCR Suris is 2011 Futurity Reserve Dark Herdsire of the Year and a multiple champion himself. This stellar male is pumping out an epic suri fleece of the future! It's incredibly dense, displays aligned lock definition, exudes greasy luster from tail to nose and in a dark mahogany color. Despite being draped with incredible fleece growth for his age, Arcturus is growing into a blocky square frame with beautiful leg set blessed with a smooth correct gait that he carries with a regal air. We purchased the black dam, BlackLock, with the intention of breeding to our Futurity herdsires of the Year and Chakotah has blown it out of the park here. Why? Genetics! The parentage: Bruxo, Uribe, Pucara Kahuna, Pucara Allegro, and Inca with descendants included like Armed and Dangerous, Durango and super dams Augustina, Sanchia, Kalina, Ortencia and Lachia. Arcturus bears the mark of greatness.
We are proud to offer Red Granites Anaka Rose at the Futurity Auction. Anaka Rose is a beautiful and regal medium brown female. Her fleece is fine and uniform with density relative to her fineness. Anaka Rose is a well grown yearling, sound and correct in every way. Anaka Rose will be ready to breed spring 2013, and will bring some of the most renowned prolific genetics to anyone's breeding program. She is the granddaughter of Snowmass Matrix, who recently sold for $675,000.00, and the daughter of our own Snowmass Matrix Rose. She is the sister of our MR Sizlin Rose, a twelve time Champion including the 2012 Brown Futurity Championship and the 2012 AOBA National Show Brown Championship. Anaka Rose's dam's side brings the "Bull Dog", Crescent Moon's Valentino and great grandsire Danko, both known for producing many champions. Anaka Rose will be sold with a breeding to any unrestricted herdsire owned by Red Granite Ranch.

Spartan's Sting is not only the son of Futurity Champion Crystal Spartan, but also the son of Peruvian Honeybelle, dam of Futurity Champion and multiple champion winning and producing and multiple herdsire of the Year winning Majestic Peruvian Jeremiah. Take one look at Spartan's Sting and you can see he stands proudly as this year's 2013 junior herdsire Futurity auction entry from our farm. Sting is a gorgeous light brown male whose fleece is bright, soft, dense and crimpy from front to back and under the belly. He is phenotypically gorgeous and is conformationally rock solid. These two champion genetic lines have been the cornerstone of our breeding program the last couple of years and we are thrilled to be offering this level of quality at the prestigious Futurity auction this year. Sting's sire, Crystal Spartan, has already produced multiple champion and award winning offspring and his dam, Honeybelle, has been the cornerstone of our breeding program.
One look is all you need for this stunning silver grey female. You can see from the outside the outrageous density that she is carrying and the amazing style to her fleece is even showing through the cria tips. She comes by her quality levels honestly. Her sire Introuvable, a Jericho son in black, has made some of our most outstanding colors. Introuvable unfortunately passed away last year so there are a limited number of those offspring available. From the Dam's side of this pedigree, you are looking at solid grey. Our best grey producers in terms of both color and quality are here on the pedigree and will continue with this female as she creates show crias for you. I can't wait to see what this female will do in the show ring and especially what she will bring to the table with her crias.

Scrumptious! Darling! This little female is cute, cute, cute, with a stunning fleece and pedigree. Caligula/El Nino/Ulysses/Hemingway/ PCA Hemingway-Accoyo Nautilus/Bueno/Legacy/Guellermo/NGG Lional/Peruvian Sweet William/ and she is sired by Ulysses'Nitro. Her dam is a sassy, elite, Eclipse Alyst daughter. Kasimira displays a fleece that is very dense, fine, exceptionally bright, that carries very nice bundling and crimp character well down into her extremities and lower belly area. We consider her sire "Ulysses Nitro" the best white male we have produced since we entered the business 16 years ago. His histogram at 4 years of age was:19.6, 3.6, 18.2, >0.9. For those not familiar with our breeding program, we have been gathering up progeny created by dams that Greg feels are his best. Sunipani/ Sicuani/Chipaya/Ayacucha, then crossing them with our top genetics. Kasimira is a result of that program and the first ever "reluctantly" offered. Kudos to the very lucky buyer!
The moment this girl was born I knew she was a supermodel. Her name became obvious immediately. "Heidi Klum" is a spectacular young female with upright presence, straight conformation and "OH!! THAT HEAD!. Heidi is the one that all farm visitors pick out as stunning. Heidi is just as lovely in the fleece department. Part her anywhere on her body and you will feel velvety density and uniform crimp. Just look at her histogram and you will see why she is so special. This female has it all. Heidi's Sire, Vittorio is from the Patagonia breeding program and although he is young, his cria are winning in top shows. On her Dam's side, Heidi is out of Aleutian Eagle's Black Ice. Black Ice is a Champion black who passed onto Heidi her best attributes. Heidi is ready to breed and comes with a breeding to any Black Hills Alpacas Herdsire. I might suggest Snowmass Golden Victory, or one of the new boys on the farm, MFI Dragonheart or Sommerstorm. You have many options.

VAC's Elation is lovely young female with elite white fiber. Her fiber has it all - fineness, density, staple length, brightness, & beautiful architecture! We are very proud of Elation as we have been planning this cross for years. Elation's dam, VAC Ultimo's Snow Bunny is out of our mighty El Nino son, ULTIMO. Elation's sire is our wonderful full Accoyo stud, Celestial Accoyostar - an Incaaccoyo Star offspring. Elation is also the grand-daughter of one of our original foundation females, PPPeruvian Echium. Echium was directly imported from the Macusani region of Peru in 1996 and she maintained her fineness throughout her lengthy breeding career. At age 14, Echium's fiber stats were: AFD 24.5, SD 3.7, CV 15.2, %>30u 5.7! Elation was the Reserve Champion at the 2012 Empire Show and was 1st out of 11 at the Green MT fleece show with an overall score of 82.5 including an impressive 19 of a possible score of 20 for fineness/handle. She also took 2nd at the 2012 NAAS
Wingman sure has been popular-- every show he's created quite a stir! This stately boy is simply one of those males that is bound for greatness. Greasy, fine, lustrous locks are consistent all over his "brick house" frame with density you would expect from only the best Suri's. We decided on offering a 1/2 ownership in "CW" because we have big plans for him too and can't wait to infuse his bloodlines into our herd (and we couldn't completely let go of him!). His pedigree is something else. Starting out with registration, his DNA needed to be tested on the advanced 32 markers instead of the regular 9--he's that similar to his Grandfather, legend, ACCOYO ADMIRAL, that he kept coming up as his father. CW really is "a chip of the old block". CW's Sire, Admirals Commandor a MEGA Champion boasted 4 Championships, 2RC, and 8 Firsts. CW's dam side is no slouch either. Out of one of our best girls, "Bling Bling" is a Champion too and has a stellar family tree as well. Her sire is the famous Accoyo NGG Nolan Ryan which goes onto Ganador...both influential males in the industry. Bling's dam is a favorite here and is loaded with colored genetics including black. Amy's sire, Patagonia's El Trauco is an eight time Color Champion, medium brown male that keeps amazing us with his fantastic ability to pass all the positive traits a pre-potent male should do. LondonDairy Double Play comes from the private pedigree stock of LondonDairy Alpacas. Wade and Kevin want to show the quality of replication that the Matrix line has done for their herd. Double Play has that "look at me" stance that is one of their favored breeding characteristics. Her merino styled fleece with astonishing fineness is the more advanced style for our industry. These traits in a female are so valuable: uniform fineness with density. Our goal has been to achieve this quality of stamping in continuing generations. Double Plays Sire, Snowmass Matrix Quest is well known for producing exquisite quality that Double Play exemplifies. Judges Choice Award, LondonDairy Giovanni is our suggestion for her included breeding. His multiple championships and evident density coupled with fineness have justified him to be a superior stud. A beautiful marriage of traits and genetics! Enjoy Double Play for your show string this year and future breeding program.

Accoyo America Brigadier is a proud, powerfully built son of the renowned fawn herdsire Peruvian Helios. His dense, independently locking medium fawn fleece and coverage are striking. His full brother Helix was an AOBA National Color Champion in 2005 and I have no doubt Brigadier will give him a run for his money. His first offspring Salmonberry has a high luster exquisitely locked fleece similar to her sire.
Chitlin is a bay black beauty has the same quality, style and fine, crimped fleece that keeps us coming back to this successful breeding combination year after year. Her sire is MKC Miami Vice, our silver grey Orlando Cloud son. His super-crimped fleece is nothing short of amazing, as proved by an impressive show record. He is both an AOBA Nationals Blue Ribbon winner, and Reserve Color Champion at the huge Denver alpaca show. Chitlin's dam is the true black GNLC Mirabell, one of our keeper daughters from GNLC Maximus Pacas, another AOBA Blue Ribbon winner. Mirabell's dam line runs deep in our herd and is very thrifty and productive with easy births and good moms, traits we value highly. Miami Vice and Mirabell also produced Sugaree, a bay black full sister to Chitlin sold at last year's Futurity. Chitlin is fully guaranteed. Ask for fiber sample and more photos at info@gnranch.com

How do you hold a moonbeam in your hand? Would you like to? TP Poseidon’s Motivator’s Moonbeam is simply elegant. She is a young female who is poised and has presence. She is well proportioned and stylish, with excellent conformation and bite. Her fleece has the silky, soft handle and elite fleece characteristics that you would expect from looking at her pedigree. Her fleece is reflective and very bright with wonderful character—it is a well organized fleece with beautiful, dense staples. In addition, she has very little medullation and is very, very fine. She is the daughter of our now 28X Champion, TP Poseidon’s Motivator and the grand daughter of Snowmass Matrix. This is a wonderful marriage of genetics and you can see this manifested in Moonbeam’s phenotype and her EPD’s. Her EPD’s are in the top 10% of all huacayas in the 2012, Generation 4 EPD database. She will sell with a breeding to either Snowmass Touche’ or TP Matrix Jubilee.

Amber Autumn Zilia had no choice but to be cute as a button, considering the blood lines on the top and bottom side of her pedigree. Her dam Sunset Hills Zahara is a fusion of Zephyrus/Royal Fawn and CPeruvian Silvio. Her sire Chavalier is a fusion of our Turk/Ivano and Peruvian Bonanza lines. All of the above animals have very nice heads, strong solid frames, very good fiber coverage, and density. Zilia definitely carries on the tradition. She displays a very bright, very dense, high frequency crimped fleece that carries well into her extremities. Zilia is in our show string and has consistently placed well and garners a lot of attention. Zilia will be bred to our outstanding light brown herd sire "Americano's Heathcote" and due with cria in March 2014. Our Heathcote progeny have been very pleasing and several will be in our 2013 show string. This is a slam dunk! Here is another exquisite example of Suri greatness. Sired by our signature herdsire Mr Cool, Coolique displays amazing luster and a greasy slick fleece. Dense locks and coverage as you would expect from this line. On her downline we see Accoyo Kalvin and Sergeant Major Jax making this a powerhouse of genetics. Mr Cool crias have been known for their high luster and fine uniform fleeces. In Coolique’s first show she earned a first place and color champion with the judge (Wade Geese) commenting on her fine and lustrous fleece and correct strong conformation. Coolique is hitting the show circuit this year and will be a "HOOT" to show this fall and into next year. She comes with her maiden breeding free of charge when she's done taking the shows by storm.
Wait till you have a look at this beautiful fleece! Frances Cabrini is a daughter by the great Adonnis. Her dam, Chantillie Lace is a Legacy daughter we bought as a youngster. Yes, a Legacy daughter that we bought! I hope that expresses to you what we think of Chantillie Lace. Frances Cabrini has excellent density and advanced staple development to compliment her fineness and her beauty. We own her full sister here at CMR and if Frances Cabrini's production is anything like her sister's, you (as her new owner) will be very happy indeed. Diamond Magic Flute, at the time of writing, is not quite a year old. Originally thought to be bay black, her fiber is now completely true black and very dense. It also has tremendous crimp and a wonderful handle. She is out of our Smoke Signal, whose stellar heritage includes High Desert Smoke, Dom Lucilio and Royal Fawn - all remarkable herdsires.. Her dam is Lady Stella Woldbrook; for those of you who have been in the industry for a long time, she was one of the Woldbrook Farms completely black herd. Stella's parentage includes Royal Condor and The Silversmith. Thus, her championship lines quickly take you to the colossal names found in the importation groups. Magic Flute comes with a free breeding to one of our herdsires -- might we recommend our 6-time color champion and sire extraordinaire Enchantment's Monjeau. His calm temperament, gorgeous grey/black fiber and winning ways would make an excellent complement to this beautiful little girl.
Crystal is a special girl, even among our other nice Mont Blanc daughters. She is the "whole package" as Judges like to say. Crystal has the fleece of the future that we are breeding for and even more importantly, to be used. Her exceptionally fine fleece glows with luster while carrying the density and lock that Judges appreciate. Crystal's sire, Accoyo Mont Blanc, was the 2012 Futurity "Reserve Light Herdsire of the Year". He has been a multiple-time Judge's Choice and AFCNA's "Spirit of the Fiber Industry Award" winner - awarded to only a handful of alpacas that exhibit superior fleece characteristics as they mature. Crystal's dam, BBFAI Sprite (Crown Royale), is an incredible asset to BBFAI. She has produced some of our very best offspring. Hands down! She gives her full 50% of the equation. Crystal's full sister, BBFAI Fanta, is a show ring winner and past Futurity Champion. Crystal has 100% opportunity to follow her big sister.

The pedigree on Idella is pretty sweet as well. Some of most prepotent genetics in the industry with names like Caligula, Bueno, Victor, and Hemingway. Then add in dams the quality of PPPeruvian Sienna, PPeruvian Amelia, Hemingway’s Maya and PPeruvian Caliente, it is very easy to verify the value and imagine the potential of this Accoyo/Peruvian female. As a bonus, Idella will be bred to the phenomenal Accoyo America Polaris and expecting cria in March 2014. We expect a spectacular result!
Snowmass Maree Marvelous is owned by our daughter Maree Love Skinner - The name sake of the most important Dam in history to Snowmass Alpacas, Snowmass Maree Love, Quechua's Dam and Maree Marvelous’s great-granddam. Maree is looking to bring some income for her new home so is willing to let this lovely female come to be represented at our sale this year. Maree Marvelous is one of the first Snowmass Elite Transcendence offspring. We hope to have many more of his offspring in the future. He is just starting his breeding career for Snowmass and so we feel confident in releasing some of his first cria in The Futurity Auction. The brightness, soft handle, and beautiful crimp is astounding as is the consistency in the fleece. Snowmass Maree Marvelous is one for the show circuit and to bring Marvelous genetics into your breeding program. She will have a bright and beautiful future of production in Super Royal alpacas.

Swoon is a hard one for us to let go, but with two full sisters staying in our herd we are willing. Her super-fine grey fleece is nicely crimped with no spots. Already a proven mother with one fine-fleeced cria on the ground, she is currently bred to our outstanding Orlando Cloud son MKC Miami Vice for a June 2013 baby. Miami is a silver grey AOBA Nationals Blue Ribbon winner and Reserve Color Champion from the huge Denver show. We have several other Miami Vice babies in this sale, so you can judge for yourself how well he has stamped his get. Swoon's sire, Snowmass Incan Silver, is an AOBA Blue Ribbon winner who also sports a luxurious, rose grey fleece. Swoon's dam, Allegra, is a super producer and nicks so well with Incan Silver that we have bred her to him 5 years in a row.
Abundance! What a great word to describe Pristina's fleece. Pristina is a full Accoyo daughter of Nobility and she has an abundant fleece. Her blanket is not only well defined, dense and fine but it is long; very long. How long is long? Five inches in her first 7 months of life. Length is a very positive trait that the late Accoyo import stud, Pachacuti was known for and coincidentally Pristina's dam is a direct daughter of Pachacuti. Pristina is ready to show and soon will be ready to breed. We offer her with a complimentary breeding and our full ranch guarantees. We would recommend, Crescent Moon's Venedictos for the job.

MFI & LMFI Peruvian Quite A Delight is a beautiful white female with an outstanding fleece that is consistent with high-amplitude crimp. Her sire is Peruvian Front Runner whose pedigree includes such multiple champion rock stars as Snowmass Millenium, Peruvian Rolex, accoyo 4Peruvian Legacy, Peruvian Hemingway and Accoyo 4Peruvian Ajax. Her dam is Derwydd Artero Peruvian Quapah, whom Libby purchased at the 2004 AOBA National Auction. Her pedigree includes males such as NWA,LTD Artero, Mr. Antonio and 4Peruvian Star Kahn. The females in her pedigree are the stunning Fiesta Girl, multiple champion Fenja, and Futurity Champion Peruv.Charmingway to name just a few. If you were to check out the show records of her ancestors, you would find no less than three Futurity championships. We are proud to offer this beautiful female. She sells with Magical's and Libby's full guarantees and a free breeding to any solely-owned, unrestricted herdsire owned by Libby or Magical Farms.
As many of you know, The Sock Brigade sends alpaca socks (made in the USA with USA alpaca fiber) to our troops in harms’ way. In the spirit of “putting our money where our mouth is,” all funds received from the sale of Nancy Love will be donated to the Sock Brigade! Nancy Love is beautifully conformed and covered in bay black, lustrous locks. This flashy girl is sure to be a great producer. Nancy’s dam is a Mahogany Prince daughter and blue ribbon winner, Bessie Coleman. Her sire is Aero Ranch’s Habu, a multiple champ and blue ribbon winner (including in tough competition at Futurity). To make this purchase sweeter, Wings & A Prayer Alpacas is including Nancy’s maiden breeding! She’s been exposed to Carbon Fiber, a true black Torbio son. An icon in the suri world, Torbio’s legacy lives on in this gorgeous herdsire! “Carbo’s” color/quality production is 2nd to none! He’s produced 30 cria with 17 being true blacks! And, only 2 of the dams were black. This boy does a fabulous job imparting, not only his fine fiber characteristics, but in everything from beige to true black. This pairing was given an A+ for opportunity to produce a stellar, colored offspring. It gets even better. Carol Karsten (Hidden Hill Farm, Antrim, NH) is including a breeding to her Captain Morgan son, Captain’s Independence. AND, depending on where she’s headed, we may even be able to include transport for Nancy Love after purchase/breeding.

This is a spectacular package and it’s all to benefit The Sock Brigade because...warm feet are NOT a luxury. Raise you hands high and know your purchase will help put alpaca socks on the feet of many of our soldiers. We have a list of soldiers on the bitter cold front lines.
