A strengthened logistics ecosystem is going to form the backbone of India’s $5 trillion economy vision. The government is now adopting specific strategies to improve the global competitiveness of Indian goods by targeting to position itself among the top 25 countries in the Logistics Performance Index (LPI), reducing logistics costs comparable to global benchmarks, and creating a technology enabled and data-driven logistics ecosystem. Our panel discussion on ‘Getting India in the top 25 in World Bank’s Global LPI,’ hosted during our maiden Digital Supply Chain & Logistics Forum in New Delhi recently, offered insights into the government’s intent and action plan and laid down steps for industry stakeholders to be equal partners in progress.
