EL EDEN UD. Lleรณ with honors (10)

The project begins with the analysis of Alcarria honey, as the main agent of bees. During the investigation, several vital problems are detected today for bees. Bees are indispensable for the existence of the human being, since they pollinate the majority of plants from which our food comes. Its extinction would cause our disappearance in four years. Problems such as pesticides, the vespa velutina (African wasp), and others directly related to the production phase, are what make the bees disappear, all of them come from the same agent: the human being. The project begins with the idea of El Eden, an idyllic and magical place for bees, a place far from the human being, a closed space for bees, where each grouping contains each of the indispensable conditions for its survival and happiness, vegetation , water..etc A unique space for them where there is no room for any of the problems that affect them today. The Eden, is projected following the urban planning of the bees, a very hierarchical, orderly urbanism and with very clear rules. A hive works in a very hierarchical and structured way, in the same way it is how beekeepers distribute their hives throughout the field. Likewise, El Eden is projected the same, following clear patterns of distances, and positions of the hives with respect to the crops. Thus, it is how Eden begins to grow. Eden is the place we need in the present for their survival, it is a wonderful place, which seeks their happiness and existence, and therefore our existence. It is a space of the future, with some needs of the present, a space that seeks high honey production, but above all, a place for bees.

EL EDÉN_DESIGN STUDIO VI

Each group has different functions, the group of 30 beehives is intended for high honey production, that of 10 beehives for the teaching of future beekeepers, that of 5 beehives to use the sponsorship technique, used today, and Finally, that of a single hive, intended for tourists, so that they can observe the operation of Eden affecting a minor amount of bees.

12

EL EDÉN_DESIGN STUDIO VI

There are a number of plug-ins that are attached to the structures, and serve the four personalities of the project: beekeepers, farmers, sponsors, and tourists. Plug-ins that facilitate the operation of El Eden and serve the programs of each group.. 13

ENVIRONMENTAL OBSERVATORY Ud. Aparicio Proposal for an honorable mention (9,5)

The environmental observatory is located at the Alcornocales park, specifically in the forest of fog, which has climatic conditions and unique vegetation. It has a high humidity and high amount of fog. The project is about an environmental control center where the air should be used as an environmental regulator. On the ground floor, the rooms are located to give an intimate character of proximity to the vegetation and common areas. On the second floor there are individual laboratories as well as a mechanized production area, and different work areas. The central axis of the project is the control tower where there are two store floors, a forklift as a distributor, at the highest level the surveillance overlooking the entire park of the Alcornocales, finally there is the heliport. The tower has not only programmatic importance, it also has a climatic role and a clear communication strategy, where it is hierarchized in three levels: merchandise, workers and residents of the observatory. In addition, different climate control strategies are used, a facade of ceramic panels that gives the possibility to place them according to the day and the needs, and a staggering throughout the project: rooms, laboratories, common areas and production where the cold air is condensed in the lowest part and the hottest in the upper level..

TOTALLY TROPICAL HOUSE Ud. Ribot with honors (10)

Totally tropical house, is located in Eibar, a city in northern Spain, in the Basque Country. Firstly, we start analyzing the city and its peculiarities, finding different data of interest. It is a city cake with a large number of abandoned buildings, belonging to the era of the industrial revolution in Spain. Old concrete factories that have been abandoned over the years. The course proposed to rehab these spaces, giving a service to the city, which covered deficiencies that we detected. With the OPEN BUILDING concept, where the skeleton, the structure of the building was maintained, it is "filled in" with a program that serves the city. In the research process, I analyzed how the city was built in a longitudinal way along a valley, always favoring the longitudinal connections, not the transversal ones. So, I realized that despite having a close medium contact with nature, they had no access to it. The project proposes to bring nature to the city center, through a series of plants, at different scales that make up the interior space. These natural species are studied, humidity levels, trunk size etc, to give them the living conditions they need. And at a second level, different programs are proposed that revolve around vegetation, which serve the Eibar society, to foster intergenerational contacts, and have areas of short, or long stay.

Life into nature, is a project of experimentation of the form, and as through different objects, we can create architecture. They are utopian dwellings, which surround an umbracle, whose function is a space for meetings and social gatherings. 29

SLOPE PLATE Fashion and product design

In the course of product design, we were asked to make food design and think about everything that entails creating an object for food with all the conditions it requires, such as storage. We create this product based on a childhood memory, until I get to create slope plate. We had to design the object, the 1: 1 scale as it worked, and it was stored to be a good kitchen product. In addition to creating the branding of the product and how to advertise it.

34

STOCK YOUR BRACE Fashion and product design

The course asked us to make a storage product while maintaining the identity of the client. To do this, I analyzed Neri oxman, and her essence in each of her projects. In the end I came to the production of a bracelet, parameterized in voronoi, maintaining that cellular character and bio materials that characterizes it.

CONSTRUCTION PROJECT Honorable mention (10)

The house is located in San MartĂn de Valdeiglesias, in the San Juan reservoir. The zigzag house slides downhill between the trees. It attaches its structures to the ground and heads towards the water in a cascade of spaces. By minimizing its footprint, the house tiptoes to the ground and its beams emerge as appropriate stones that support a restless balance of precarious horizontality, where the life of the house unfolds in constant movement between changing forms. Each level offers a stay, but there are no rooms. The lines of the house structures and the tree structures together trace the space in a zigzag, without the need to touch. They dance together with respectful distance.
