Captain Jack Sparrow Dim.ďźš103cm x 77cm Materialsďźšsketch I drew this after watching Pirates of the Caribbean. I immediately became a huge fan of Johnny Depp for his impressive acting skills and ability to bring Captain Jack Sparrow to life. I admire the Captain for disregarding what others think and only enjoying his freedom. This drawing is a memory of a movie and character that I love.

Different Gestures of Hands Dim.:38cm x 26cm Materials:sketch cardboard This is a practice exercise for drawing hands with different movements and gestures. The wrinkled hand on the right belongs to an old man, and represents age. The other two are Loganʼs and Lauraʼs from the movie Logan, and represent the passage of time and the warmth of love.

Deadpool Dim.:37cm x 52cm

Materials:watercolor

This was my first artwork based on Marvel comics. Deadpoolʼs outfit is mostly red and black, representing boldness and power. To demonstrate the shades, I mixed red with dark green.

Marvel Superheroes

Dim.ďźš103cm x 77cm

Materials: ďźšwatercolor, sketch This is another Marvel series drawing. The characters on the right are from Thor, and on the left we see an amalgamation of characters. I

adore the Marvel characters because despite their superpowers, their

personalities and weaknesses are realistic, giving them each an original identity.

Loki: The God of Mischief Dim.ďźš53cm x 37cm

Materials: ďźšwatercolor, sketch This is Loki, another Marvel character. I chose to draw Loki because although he is often misinterpreted as a pure antagonist, he does have a virtuous soul.

Dim.ďźš33cm x 45cm Materials: sketch

Taylor Swift To better show the characteristics of Taylor Swift, I focused on her facial expression. I chose her to be my first human portrait because of her

expressive, bright blue eyes. Besides, I admire her singing and lyrics.

Hunger Games Dim.ďźš40cm x 27cm

Materials: sketch

These eyes are supposed to be Jennifer Lawrence's from Hunger Games. The clock in the background

comes from a scene in the second film in the series in which the characters are stuck in a clock-filled arena. This work reminds me of the significance of time in

this film, as the characters are trying to survive based on various time zones.

Among the rapeseed flowers

Dim.ďźš38cm x 27cm

MaterialsďźšWatercolor

This is a picture of my mother standing in the field of rapeseed flowers in Dunhuang, China. I used Berlin blue

colors to portray the bright sky and gold colors for the flowers. This scene made me felt pleasure and comfort.

The Dome Dim.ďźš30cm x 30cm

Materials: Oil, collage

The vacant place in the canvas creates a feeling of distance. The pillars at the edge of the painting create a space with a large leaf, the subject, in the middle. This

construction gives a sense of space and geometry. Is the sky you see through the dome real or fantasy?

Renaissance Dim.ďźš27cm x 39cm

Materials: Collage

The drawing takes place in a small, Medieval town. Two women are doing laundry by the river. The lady at the bottom looks like a statue from the Renaissance. Besides the woman are geometrical shapes, representing the new, abstract ideas presented during the Renaissance. I borrowed these geometry ideas from Picasso.

The Antique Dim.ďźš30cm x 21cm

Materials: Oil, markers, collage In the work, several helicopters are pulling an ancient Chinese

vessel. This painting is about the interception of Chinese antiquity and the modern world. I chose to paint a Chinese vessel because it appears in most Chinese paintings and preserved artifacts.

World of Triangles Dim.ďźš38cm x 53cm

Materials: Collage

The triangle is the most solid and stable geometric figure. Each

triangle contains an independent world, all of which are connected by their close distance, forming a bigger image of the scenes in

the sky, the ground, and the water. Waves are crashing at the very bottom; feathers are falling from the sky, where a dragon is hiding.

Constellation-Cancer Dim.ďźš21cm x 31cm MaterialsďźšCollage, needles, thread This was my first 3D artwork. I use nails and thread to connect the dots of the stars forming the crab, which is the symbol of my constellation, Cancer. The white thread illuminates the black background like stars against a night sky.

The Wire Lady

Dim.:15cm x 20cm Materials: Wires

The inspiration for this came from Picassoʼs abstract work, Weeping Woman. Like

Picassoʼs work, mine also has simple lines forming a complex figure. I tied colorful wires to the ladyʼs head and bent the wires into her form. In both works, simple geometric figures form the face, and thin sinuous lines form the hair.

Lesley This is my cousinĘźs cat, Lesley. I have known him since he was little

and visit him every summer holiday. I know he likes me from the way he always rubs against my fingers with his fur. I decided to sketch this wonderful cat as a present for my cousin.

Dim.ďźš26cm x 38cm Materials: Sketch

Chief Bird Dim.ďźš21cm x 30cm

Materials: Colored pencils, gel pen

In this work, I focused on placement of the feathers on the birdĘźs heads. My teacher showed us a picture of a bird, and I altered the way its feathers were conveyed by adding more flowers and other decorations.

The Colorful Panda Dim.ďźš28cm x 20cm

Materials: Colored pencils

Pandas are black and white, which makes them very monotonic. I decided to create the first colorful panda, using an array of different colors and patterns.

The Owl Dim.ďźš28cm x 20cm

Materials: Sketch

This piece is similar to the Chief Bird. The main focus of the work is the texture of

feathers and patterns on the head. The owl looks mingled from afar, but from a closer

perspective, one can note that the patterns

are organized and blended. There are many different patterns on the feathers, demon-

strating the uniqueness and beauty of nature.

The Badger Family Dim.ďźš28cm x 20cm

Materials: Colored pencils, crayons This drawing shows a happy family of badgers. The black and white of the

badgers creates a visual conflict with the colorful background.

The Coffee Swan Dim.ďźš36cm x 39cm

Materials: Coffee

This is the first swan that smells and tastes like coffee. To create this work, I created circles by

dipping a pen cap into coffee then pressing the cap onto paper. To create shades, I pressed more circles onto one spot.

The Owl on the Branch Dim.ďźš40cm x 50cm

Materials: ďźšOil

I found this picture of an owl in a magazine and was drawn by its thoughtful eyes and

beautiful feathers. I focused on the texture of the feathers by using the tip of the brush to

paint lightly, creating a sense of softness, especially for the feathers around the neck. I also focused on the shadows on the face because with enough contrasting colors, the owl looks realistic.

Lion Dim.ďźš27cm x 39cm

Materialsďźšsketch

My favorite animal is the lion because it has the temperament of a king, physically shown by its majestic mane. This lion is dignified, and looking upward represents his hope for the future.
