STORYTIME

Families with young children are invited to join the Free Library of Philadelphia for stories, songs and movement. Topiaries, woodland décor and plenty of open space make this the perfect spot to learn and play with friends.

RINK APRIL 22 – JULY 17 SUN–THURS, 11AM–8:45PM FRI & SAT, 11AM–11:15PM Skate at one of Philadelphia’s brightest outdoor spaces! This colorful, retro-inspired rink brings old-school cool to historic City Hall. Online reservations for timed, 60-minute skating sessions are encouraged. In-person sales, based on availability, will be offered onsite.

ACTIVITIES ROTHMAN ROLLER RINK GRAND OPENING APRIL 22, FRIDAY, 11:30AM
Be the first to experience the city’s premier roller rink on opening day! Professional roller skate dancers will keep the energy high as they perform following a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The first skate session will begin at 12:15pm. Reserve tickets at rothmanrink.ticketsocket.com.
MATINEE SKATE
APRIL 25–JULY 12, MON & TUES, 11AM–5PM Early bird gets to skate! Patrons of all ages will receive $5 off admission during select morning and afternoon sessions.
REWIND AT THE RINK
APRIL 27–MAY 25, WEDNESDAYS, 7PM–9PM Lace up your skates and get ready to roll back in time as live DJs spin throwback tunes from the 80s, 90s and early 2000s! Nostalgic backyard games will be set up for people to play at their leisure, and adults 21 and over can enjoy delicious food and beverage options at the Air Grille, including Jim Beam Orange cocktails and ice cold beers. A valid Rothman Roller Rink ticket is required to skate during this event.
WIZARDS AND WITCHES SKATE
MAY 14, SATURDAY, 1:30PM–3:30PM Trade your broomstick for roller skates while enjoying an afternoon of magic and merriment! Interactive entertainment, crafts and more are planned for visitors of all ages. Costumes are encouraged!

ON CENTER STAGE
MAY 19 – AUGUST 25 THURSDAYS, 6PM–7PM Philadelphia’s diverse network of arts and culture organizations will be celebrated every week as they perform in the center of the city. Supported by PNC Bank, the shows will range from orchestral serenades and ballet ensembles to jazz instrumentals and more. Attendance is free. Seating on the Greenfield Lawn is limited and guests are encouraged to bring your own blanket or chair.

PARK AMENITIES WINTERGARDEN ON THE GREENFIELD LAWN

The Wintergarden on the Greenfield Lawn presented by TD Bank is an open-air green sanctuary for visitors to relax amid the bustle of Center City. Rustic décor, playful reindeer topiaries and twinkling lights add ambience to this perennial amenity.
ALBERT M. GREENFIELD LAWN OPENS MAY 15 Picnic, play and unwind on this lush greenspace surrounded by ample seating areas that facilitate handicapped access.
FOUNTAIN & PULSE OPENS APRIL 1 Splash along as three-feet-high water spouts dance across the park. Janet Echelman’s Pulse brings clouds of colored steam designed to mimic SEPTA’s underground transit routes.
SEPTA GATEWAY TO TRANSIT Stay connected through Dilworth Park’s underground concourse. The transportation hub provides access to the Broad Street Line, Market-Frankford Line and trolley routes. Accessible elevator entrances are located at both ends of the park.
STARBUCKS COFFEE KIOSK Located at the southern end of the park, this walk-up kiosk serves crafted beverages and snacks.
DILWORTH PARK CAFÉ, AIR GRILLE & PNC TERRACE Chefs from Brûlée Catering have crafted a menu of grab-and-go sandwiches, salads and snacks for purchase at the Dilworth Park Café. The Air Grille serves lunch and dinner favorites, plus crafted cocktails and beer for adults 21 and over. Guests are free to enjoy their meals under big umbrellas on the PNC Terrace.
