Soil Solutions 2015
soilsolution.org
2015 marked a major milestone for Center for Food Safety’s new Soil Solutions program, which was created to deliver this critical message: An elegant, risk-free solution to the climate crisis can be found literally beneath out feet—in the soil. By harnessing the immense power of photosynthesis, we can convert atmospheric carbon, a problem, into soil carbon, a solution. And with your support we are fulfilling our mission of bridging the Food and Climate Movements by engaging leading scientists and policymakers as well as carbon farmers and ranchers. Acting together we can restore the health of our most undervalued natural resource. Healthy soil, it’s at the heart of our climate solutions.

COP21 Paris, France December 2015
Soil Solutions went to the United Nation’s 21st Conference of Parties (COP21) to spread awareness about the vital importance of soil carbon and was invited by the French Ministry of Agriculture to screen Soil Solutions to Climate Problems as part of the official launch of their “4 per 1000” initiative to combat climate change and ensure food security. We also held presentations at the Global Landscapes Forum, the largest nature-focused event at COP21, and the lively Climate Generations pavilion. Media picked up the soil carbon opportunity and helped us spread the hopeful news worldwide.
Thank You to Our Visionary Supporters Your support allowed us to bring the soil carbon opportunity to the historic UN Climate Conference in Paris. And that was only the beginning. By focusing on solutions, empowering action and identifying a strategy that has universal application, together, we are creating a more resilient and abundant future.
