CENTER FOR THE ARTS

MAINTAIN THE OTHER

TOWN SQUARE

Just a block away from Jackson’s famous elk antler arches, Center for the Arts serves as the community’s creative town square. Our broad range of creative spaces includes a 525-seat theater, performing arts and visual arts studios, o ces, classrooms, and a vast outdoor park and amphitheater. Our facility provides state-of-the-art space for artistic endeavors across disciplines in downtown Jackson.

The Center is home to 20 Resident Nonpro t Partners, including MusicLand, O Square Theatre, Cathedral Voices, Dancers’ Workshop, and Jackson Hole Community Radio (KHOL), to name a few. A full list is available on our website.

We lease programming and o ce space to our Resident Nonpro t Partners at an average rate of $16 per square-foot, well under the Jackson Hole average of $47 per square-foot, a 66% subsidy.

During the past year, we invested over $ 1,000,000 in maintaining, operating, and upgrading our 78,000 square-foot facility.

“Being a Resident at The Center provides stability for our organization, which allows us to advance creatively. I can think about programming years in advance, knowing we will always have a venue.”

Duncan Macker, Producing Artistic Director O Square Theatre Company

MORE THAN EXCELLENT PROGRAMMING:

OUR FINAL APPEAL FOR 2024 ANNUAL FUND SUPPORT

As home to More Than Excellent Programming, ticket sales alone do not cover the cost of operations for our 78,000-square-foot building, three-acre downtown campus, and supporting 20 Resident Arts and Cultural Organizations.

Please support and invest in The Center’s Annual Fund and in our community. Your contribution ensures that Jackson maintains access to a world-class arts and education facility.

THE MISSION

To connect our creative community by providing a dedicated campus, supporting excellent programming, and nurturing a collaborative spirit.

SUPPORT EXCELLENT

“We love the variety of arts and culture that The Center gives our community. Our family has young kids and we love being able to share the arts with them. Steve Earle and Channing Wilson were good reminders of how powerful a voice, an instrument, and a stage can be. We were truly inspired and moved. Thank you!”

PROGRAMMING

Programming is what makes The Center the heart of Jackson. The Center o ers visual arts exhibits and theater performances throughout the year. Our 20 Resident Nonpro t Partners provide thousands of hours of programming on our campus, from dance classes to po ery, violin lessons to writing workshops, and more, all available under one roof because of your support of The Center.

More than 60 events at The Center were o ered free to the community this year.

Tickets to Center Presents shows do not cover the full costs of operating our theater. Fundraising allows us to bridge the gap to provide a performing arts space for all.

The Center Presents series brings Grammy® winning artists and diverse programming to our small professional venue.

INVEST IN OUR CREATIVE COMMUNITY

The Center is a community hub for collaboration. Our campus is a space for individuals, groups, and organizations to share talents, perspectives, and resources.

This year 17 productions in the theater, amphitheater, and on campus were collaborations between The Center and other community nonpro ts.

50 local and regional nonpro t organizations presented events on our campus in 2024. These events are a ordable to both presenting organizations and patrons because of your support.

PLEASE SUPPORT THE CENTER

We are grateful for gi s of every size. Generous donors who contribute $5,000 or more annually receive opportunities to purchase presale tickets to Center Presents performances, invitations to exclusive donor gatherings, and other special events when possible.
