ABOUT CENTER
Founded in 1994 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, CENTER is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that supports socially and environmentally engaged lens-based projects through education, public platforms, funding, and partnerships. For 30 years, CENTER has deepened public understanding of the history and cultural significance of lens-based media, fostering connections across cultures and generations through visual storytelling. By partnering with scholars, students, editors, and the art world, CENTER advances projects that respect all people, open minds, and engage our shared humanity.
Contributions to CENTER, which are tax-deductible, help support visual artists, researchers, and storytellers of our time.

Photographer Scholarships • Honor a loved one by creating a scholarship in their name - Half $445 or Full $895 Scholarship. Annual Programs Fund • Supports mentorship and student programs ($100 per person), seminars ($250+), project grants ($1,000+), and more.
