Advertisements booked to run simultaneously in more than one Central Coast Newspaper will receive an additional 25% discount in the second newspaper. Advertisements in the 3rd publication as well will cost 50% less than in the 1st.

PASS ON FACTOR: It is understood that each copy is passed on to an average of two and a half other readers.
Each Newspaper restricts sponsorship/ advertising content to an average of 40% of its total content. In this way sponsor’s messages will be easily seen by readers. All editorial is specific to the post code areas or subject covered by each paper.
DISTRIBUTION: An average of 18,000 copies each of Pelican Post, Coast Community News and Coast Community Chronicle are distributed in the post code areas shown. Distribution of these papers is via most supermarkets & shopping centres, schools, bowling, leagues, social and memorial clubs, hospitals, nursing homes, hotels, service stations, community centres, libraries, newsagents and retirement villages in the area. Classified advertising rates Classified advertising is the cheapest form of one off newspaper advertising. Advertisements are listed under categories, based on the service being provided, in alphabetical order. All Central Coast Newspapers are also published on line, and are read that way by thousands of people. All advertisements, including classified advertising pages, appear in full on-line as an additional benefit for free. See www.coastcommunitynews.com.au Central Coast Newspapers’ advertising rates are relatively much lower than in other newspapers and at the same time much larger than in other newspapers, with the minimum size being 50mm X 42mm. Approximately 220,000 copies of our newspapers are printed and distributed every month.
Not For Profit Organisations and nonbusiness advertisements
need to be paid for at the time of booking.
As Central Coast Newspapers are community newspapers, the cost of advertising not for profit organisations’ events is subsidised. This makes them the same rate as non business advertisements.
The minimum size of 5cm X a single column only costs $50 + GST in mono and an extra $10 + GST for colour, a logo or a photograph, every two weeks.
A mono 5cm advertisement only costs $33. Each additional cm costs $6.60 as does colour, and/or a photograph or a logo. Private advertisements
Business rates
Classified advertisements in all 3 papers are only $40+GST each. Most businesses choose to advertise on an ongoing basis and discounts apply for multiple bookings, if they are
paid for in full, in advance. Having a prepaid classified advertisement run for 6 editions only costs $250 + GST and $50 + GST more for colour. For 12 editions, it is $495 + GST and $100+ GST more for colour. For 24 editions, it is only $950 + GST and $200 + GST for colour, a saving of $290 + GST. Artwork is free and advertisers are encouraged to change their advertisements frequently.
Coastal Diary Each Central Coast Newspaper includes a comprehensive diary of events on the Central Coast over at least the following three weeks after publication. Basic entries are free. They will appear in all three newspapers if received in time, published in over 110,000 copies every two weeks, and on line in all our websites. Basic entries will include the date of the event, the name of the
event, who is running it if it is being run by a not for profit organisation, venue, time and cost or free. If you want your event details to stand out for our thousands of readers and for the entry to contain more detail, then you can take out an enhanced entry. This only costs $50 + GST and will be in bold in all three newspapers, and will also contain an address, contact phone number, ticket cost if
there is one, and a link that will be live on line for bookings etc. You can also add a colour photograph to attract even more attention for only $10 + GST. Additional enhanced entries for more than one event cost $5 less per entry, on a sliding scale. Advertisers will have their entry in the Coastal Diary enhanced for FREE.

Special arrangements for advertising for Not for Profit Organisations
As community newspapers, Central Coast Newspapers advertise details of not for profit community organisations and their events in and around their respective areas in a specially subsidised arrangement. This applies to three different areas of each newspaper.

The first is a directory for listing organisations where the information is presented in an easy to use format with like organisations grouped to make them easier to find and it includes regular activity detail as well as contact information. The cost of this listing is a once every 25 edition payment of $75 and the organisation receives a free subscription. See below for more details. A separate subsidised arrangement exists for promoting specific one off events with information that applies only to that event. The lowest cost for these is where the information is placed as a public notice at a subsidised cost of $33 per edition of each paper.
Where a not for profit organisation is looking for more exposure than in the public notices, we offer a special discount where you choose a display advertisement size and we will add for free the same size space as booked at no extra charge, to the base rate, if we can also add our logo and a short message saying “Sponsored by Central Coast Newspapers”. This means that for example, if you book a quarter page advertisement, we will give you a half page advertisement at the quarter page cost plus colour. If you are interested in this option, please contact us for prices for the various sizes on offer. Additionally, advertisers will have their entry in the Coastal Diary enhanced for FREE. All Not for Profit Community Organisations that would like to be included in options 1 and/or 2 will need to complete the following form and return it to Central Coast Newspapers together with the appropriate nominal payment. Pre and post event articles and photographs are most welcome but we cannot guarantee that they will be published as this will be subject to available space and other priorities.
Organisation listings Organisation listings only cost $75 for 25 editions, which is the cost of a 25 edition subscription to the newspaper. A copy of each edition will be sent to the postal address supplied. In this way, recipients will be able to check their entry regularly and advise us of any changes so that their entry will remain up to date at all times. The listing will remain in place for the life of each subscription and each subsequent renewal.
