Conversations for Your Community

By Rich Maladecki

We have officially made it to the final month of the year, and what a journey it has been. As we prepare to wrap up 2022, let the holiday spirit fill you with joy. Finalize your holiday plans, purchase gifts for loved ones and start planning for the new year ahead. Happy Holidays!

A memorable holiday shopping adventure may be to pre-register your group for a series of photographs with Santa! Your crowd can consist of family or friends or both - and this experience will bring laughter and smiles to all, during the upcoming years (a gift that keeps on giving).

Speaking of photographs, an expressive holiday gift may be to review your hundreds of photos on your smart phone or your cloud to find meaningful memories of loved ones. Once found, print and/or enlarge these images as gifts (with frames) for the season. During these challenging economic times, it may be wise to

purchase gifts for loved ones that are more practical and

useful! Items to consider may be clothes, gas gift cards, school supplies and grocery store gift cards.

Remember: gift cards come in all shapes and sizes - so, always ask your favorite retailers if their business offers gift certificates! This gesture may prove to be appreciated by those on your holiday gift list. To avoid potential mail theft during this holiday gift-giving season, bring your holiday cards - that includes actual gift cards - directly to the post office!

It’s that time of the year to consider “New Year Resolutions”.

For your information, most internet sites suggest developing and implementing only 2 or 3 realistic resolutions per year. By keeping your goals practical and manageable, the opportunity to succeed, starting Jan. 1, is considerably greater!

As you finalize your holiday shopping list, consider purchasing

gifts from small Central Florida

businesses (shop local). Let’s continue to support our local economy and community by helping family owned and managed businesses.
