Go Pink for

Breast Cancer Awareness A virtual 5K brings us together in spirit on October 11, 2020.

dventHealth’s annual Pink on Parade 5K will take place during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It is a popular, fun way to ramp up awareness of breast cancer, the importance of early detection, and support for those impacted by the second-most common form of cancer in American women.

This year, the march is still on.

This year, we are excited to connect with even more people throughout the United States. Join your friends, family and others nationwide and participate in the first-ever VIRTUAL Pink on Parade on October 11. Wear your favorite pink attire to run or walk your chosen course as we celebrate our brave community members who are battling breast cancer, survivors who have won their fight and those who shine on through their loved ones.

First, pick your time and place. Then race!

During a virtual race, you can walk or run anywhere, anytime! Be sure to start the race on the right foot by grabbing your start and finish line with the AdventHealth digital race packet and digital training guide. This event has much significance because many breast cancer patients associate the feeling of crossing the finish line at Pink on Parade 5K with ringing the bell — proclaiming they’re cancer free. Carmen, a 41-year-old breast cancer survivor, shared why this event means so much to her.

“Once I decided on my team of doctors at AdventHealth, I had a plan and was thankful that my cancer was pretty treatable. With my faith, family and friends praying me through it, I did it! And now I’m on the other side of it. Through the process I learned about Pink on Parade. I was able to participate in a wellness program free of charge thanks to the monies raised at the event. As a patient and one who has benefited from these services, this event is very personal and important to me.” This event provides a feeling of renewal for many patients and their loved ones. Fundraising efforts include, but are not limited to, early detection screenings, research, wellness and lifestyle resources, and helpful survivorship education programs to support those impacted by breast cancer.
